We are a small, family owned and operated, deck and screened porch designing/building company based in Westminster, MD. We've been in business since 1992 having started in the Russett community in Laurel. We do NOT use subcontractors for building our decks and screened porches. When you hire Russett Deck Professionals for your project, that's who will be doing the designing, obtaining building permits, and the actual construction. \nWe are specialized deck builders and only build using the best of materials on the market. When using composite or vinyl materials, we will give you the best advice we can to help you make the right choice for your deck. We do not push any particular brand of material on you just to help us. It's your deck, it's your choice! \nWe will obtain any and all building permits and supply you with drawings for you to submit to your HOA for approval. \nWe are Angie Super Service Award winners for multiple years 2012-2013-2014-2015-2017- \n2018-2019-2020-2021-2023

"I am very pleased with the entire process of getting my deck built. From the initial consultation to the completion of my deck, everything went so smoothly. I absolutely love my deck. Your team and installation crews did a great job. I would definitely recommend your company to anyone looking to have a deck built."

"Freedom Fence & Deck did an excellent job install our new deck. The sales rep and the workers were friendly and professional. Additionally, I love that the owner of the company is a veteran, and the company offered the best veterans discount compared to the competitive quotes."

"Jeff and his team did a wonderful job on our deck rebuild. This was our second deck built by Homecraft (the first was on a different home), and both experiences have been great! Jeff and his team were professional, friendly and courteous. This was a large second story deck and we are thrilled with the beautiful finished product. We would certainly hire Homecraft a third time if the need ever arises."

"We had front and back deck in disrepair, bowing, dried out porch planks, and erosion around the deck. We were heard, when asked, for specifics and than built a beautiful, up to code wood deck and porch. Contract was detailed with lumber, concrete footers, and materials for roof. Thank you Nick and your crew for keeping the communication open, civil, and available."

"They did a nice job. Their sub-contractor did leave personal trash at our house and our dog got into it. She helped herself to half eaten pizza. I let Homelife know there was a problem immediately, and it was rectified quickly. Additionally, I wasn’t happy with how our footers for our deck were handled. I felt like a board could have been placed over the open holes for homeowner safety. My small dog fell in but luckily was not hurt. The holes were open for 2 nights with nothing covering them, and it just would have been nice if they had been covered during the time they were not working. I was told it was because they were being inspected the next day, but still, someone could have uncovered them prior to the inspection. I just felt that it was unsafe to do that. If I had a small child that wandered into the yard, it could have been devastating. It’s just a suggestion I would make, and for that and the trash issue, I can’t give them 5 stars. There were also a few times that I emailed and did not get a response. There is one corner that the top board on the rail is cut incorrectly, but I have been assured that it will be corrected. Other than that the deck is beautiful."

"They replaced the decking on my deck and the stairs as well. They then came back after a couple of months and stained the deck. All work was very professional and done with pride of workmanship."

"JZ Construction was a great company to have complete our deck repair/repaint project. James did work on our double back deck, which consisted of upper deck top banister replacement, floor board & partial banister replacement on lower deck, and power washing & repainting of both decks. His attention to detail and work ethic were complimented by his positive attitude. He kept us informed on progress of each step done and answered any questions we had. All went very well and we are very happy with the results! We would hire JZ Construction again for future projects!"

"Absolutely great service and my deck looks brand new"

"The contractors did an excellent job both on the tree trimming and the face lift on the deck."
