"Through Angie's List, I contacted West Houston Electric (WHE) for work on my home following an inspection. I found WHE answering service personnel very polite and helpful. WHE provided a written quote on the same day of my initial call. I noted an item on the quote which was not required and WHE quickly revised the quote. Electrician, Ryan Alston, arrived on-time and reviewed the quote with me and showed me the work that would be done. I watched Ryan do most of the work and asked him questions as he was doing it. They were either trying to skip steps (not get City permit) or upcharge me for equipment I didn’t need or tell me I needed a new breaker box without full understanding of the load. They just finished our install today, just in time for Harvey, if he comes this way. They handled everything; slab, generator placement, electrical, plumbing a new gas meter, all inspections, and an extensive full-load test. Our generator developed a battery drain problem after the first night of continuous use, and despite the conditions associated with Hurricane Harvey, they showed up. Our Kohler got us through two more days/nights, and our power came back on last night, and it's now in standby mode."
