"We are exceptionally pleased with Bolt Electric's work (Matt) installing a ceiling fan on our vaulted ceiling. The fan was assembled, mounted (including light kit) in less than an hour and boxes etc were all hauled away and the work area completely clean. The cost was very reasonable. I would absolutely have Bolt out to our house for any future electrical work."

"Michael was knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He jumped right in checking my breaker box for the loose breaker, got it situated, checked my hot water heater to make sure I was getting hot water. He was very thorough and put everything back as it was. I would recommend this company for any electrical needs. I'm keeping this company in mind for any future needs."

"Very professional and high quality results. This project was done right. Electrical systems in mobile homes are notorious for causing issues. Add to that, a 50 year old mobile home, and there are many reasons to be concerned. I had estimates from several different providers but Static Sun Electric and Solar were head and shoulders above all the rest in diagnosing what needed to be done to make our home safe. I also needed extra work done to support a computer room, and some special needs outlets for a Convection Oven and other appliances. They also installed a 230V box for my mini-split. Everything I wanted was completed quickly and very professionally. I have total confidence in the work performed. These will be the people I call if/when I ever need electrical work. 5 STARS Plus. Brenton and Jason did the work, and Julie, in the main office, coordinated everything. I can't express enough how pleased I am with this project. They may not be the lowest bidder on a project, but you get what you pay for, and what value do you put on the peace of mind knowing it was done right? Highly recommend Static Sun Electric and Solar."

"James is super professional and honest. He explained us exactly what we need and why we didn't need to have a complete change of electric cables in the house, not like other companies that where giving us estimates for electrical jobs we were not needing. Definitely will recommend him to my family and friends."
In some states and municipalities, licensed and registered handypersons can change a light fixture and do minor electrical work. However, you should check with your state and local licensing boards before hiring a local handyperson. In most cases, it’s safer and more practical to hire an electrician for this job. It may cost more, but hiring a licensed electrician means they’ll get the work done to code.
Special light fixtures, known as damp-rated light fixtures, are recommended in bathrooms, particularly if they're near damp areas like showers and over the bathtub. However, in most locations, they’re not a strict requirement. For safety and longevity, damp-rated fixtures are a better choice. If you work with a lighting contractor in your area, they may be able to recommend the right kinds of fixtures for your space.
Yes, it’s possible to run a second light fixture to a switch, meaning the light switch would control more than one light fixture. Several factors can impact whether it’s possible and how much it will cost. In many cases, it may be easier and more affordable for the contractor to install independent light switches. Talk to your electrician about your idea to get their feedback.
