"Generators of Maine just completed the installation of a 14kw generator with parallel transfer switches, to protect 2 separate metered panels at a rental property that I own. I didn't even know that this was possible, until Doug Sawyer suggested it. The incremental cost of protecting the additional panel with the parallel transfer switch arrangement was a fraction the cost of an additional generator and transfer switch. Throughout the job, Doug and his crew were awesome. I am a terrible snoop who enjoys technology, so I hung around just watching and learning. They didn't seem to mind my presence and were friendly and informative through out the install. Every aspect of the job was 100% top-notch. Doug also managed to under bid his nearest competitor on every component and aspect of the job, including the annual maintenance contract, which I deemed to be worth the $$$. I highly recommend Generators of Maine."

"WB Lightning Rods did an excellent job installing lightening rods on our home. The owner stayed onsite the entire time to supervise the work. He took extra care to plan the rod and cable placement to ensure the proper protection and retain the aesthetics of our home. His crew were knowledgeable, polite, neat and efficient. We could not be more pleased with the results."

"I contacted Cushnoc regarding getting an estimate for wiring a generator. Alex responded to my request that day. He scheduled a time and date for a review of our work needed. Within a couple of days he responded and provided a written estimate along with a date and time to do the job. Excellent customer service! Alex arrived on the date and time to complete the work. Very neat/clean job. Alex is a knowledgeable professional with excellent communication skills. This contractor should be at the top of anyone list requiring electrical work."

"They got in touch with me quick to learn about the problem, and the tech called me soon after, far early into the window they gave me for a call-back. Most importantly, they understood and fixed the problem â my iMac's Apple Mail conking out. The tech helped dump out several hundred thousand items to make room for new messages. I'm still not sure how my disk got so full when I use the computer normally, but Nathan got my Apple Mail rolling again. Initially I was worried because they were far away and tech was from another faraway location. And, I thought they were a bit pricey a first; it felt strange to pay such a sum before they did anything. But in the end, the money was appropriate given the time it took to work on and fix the problem, which Nathan did diligently. His remedy twice required them to let the computer do its thing â once for about 20 minutes and again for about an hour... but they did call back when they said they would to check on the progress. I would definitely hire them again."

"I would hire him again for any electrical. He is an excellent electrician, professional, punctual and a generally nice person."
Always start by confirming the pro’s license number, insurance coverage, and experience level. Visit the electrician’s website, scan recent customer reviews, and verify credentials with your local labor department. Request proof of liability insurance and at least two references that you can contact. These quick checks take only a few minutes but go a long way toward ensuring safe, code-compliant work and protecting your home in the event of an issue.
Grouping several electrical jobs into one appointment means you pay a single service-call fee and one set of travel expenses. Instead of asking a pro to return three separate times for outlets, switches, and fixtures, have everything tackled in one visit. The electrician stays productive, and you avoid extra trip charges, often shaving a sizable chunk off the final bill without compromising quality.
DIY electrical work can be dangerous and, in many areas, illegal without a license. One miswired connection risks shocks, fires, or expensive damage. Licensed electricians carry the right tools, follow local code, and know how to shut down power safely before they start. Hiring a pro may cost more upfront, but it protects your home, family, and insurance coverage in the long run.
