"Excellent service. The pruning of the 2nd oak tree and the Hawthorne tree was done one day, and all other work done the next day. The 4-person crew was very professional, kind, and respectful of the property. The large oak I had removed was right up against a new fence, and not far from the side of my house. And, it was not in an area to get a bucket truck nearby. They arrived right on time at the start of the day and worked hard with minimal breaks - very impressive. They ground the stump from the large oak as well as grinding a couple of leftover stumps from previously removed holly trees. Their cleanup was superb! They even blew stuff off the top of my roof! And the wood cut down was nicely rolled together - not just dumped into a large messy clump! And, they were cheaper than another bid I got from a company here on Angie. I cannot recommend them high enough."

"Holmes Concrete & Excavation designed and installed a stamped, colored concrete walkway around 75% of our house. The walkway passed through our front and rear gardens and also covered the south end of our house where we keep our trash bins and air conditioner unit. The walkway was well designed and helped tie together the exterior of our house in a functional, aesthetically appealing way. James Holmes helped us choose a color for the concrete that matched the exterior of our house. Overall, the final product exceeded our expectations. James and his team were professional, timely, and did a great job communicating the stages of the project. We have 2 dogs and they also did a good job temporarily closing off a portion of our yard to allow the dogs to use the yard without it negatively impacting the project. "I hired Paul to help me with multiple projects. He mowed our 2 acre field property when the grass was 4-5ft tall, which gave us easy access to our whole property. He regraded our driveway with approx 20yrds of gravel, leaving it smooth enough I could easily ride my street bike on it. He also excavated a small seasonal pond on our property and removed enough dirt to triple it in size, giving us a year round pond. Very happy with the results of all his work, worth every penny. "This experience was the old time quality and service you hear your grandparents talk about. The crew showed up 15 minutes ahead of time ready to start. While a fairly non-complex job of removing existing material and leveling the sloping site with crushed gravel, all material removed was redistributed around the yard. The concrete work was carefully laid out, true and square. The finish completely uniform in spite of high winds blowing leaves into site. When they finished the job, the clean up was spotless. All debris was removed and the driveway and all adjacent concrete washed down. Several times during progress, I was consulted if they had a suggestion for improvement or question. Every one of the workers was courteous, polite and thanked us before leaving. Fast, efficient and cost effective."
