"Aaron arrived when he said he would. We walked the property site and discussed what I needed done. He went right to work. He was mindful of the neighbors property lines and was careful not to disturb the area. My job was small, filling in a hole left by a 30 foot round pool. I didn't expect any additional landscaping because of the price we agreed on before he started, however Aaron went above and beyond and not only smoothed out the area but feathered out and blended the surrounding terrain. He did 100 percent more than I expected. Actually the area looks better than before we put the pool in. Aaron portrayed a keen seance of professionalism and attention to detail. I would highly recommend A&R Landscaping for your excavation, Landscaping needs."

"Customer service was top notch- we started with a 4 acre wooded lot and we had started clearing it ourselves and had many stumps and some more trees to take down. They gave an estimate via photos and email since job site was over an hour away which worked great. Worked til job was finished and did so in a timely manner. We also added clearing a new driveway after the fact and did amazing job. Great communication - would definitely hire again and give referral. Photos are Before and afters."

"This company was quick to respond to my need, setting up a time the very day we spoke. The service technician called when he was on his way, giving a good ETA, and was responsive and polite during our interactions. He reviewed the tight area and the job to remove two old, large fuel oil tanks from the back of the property, and then just got it done. Billing was super easy as he produced the invoice right there. I would recommend Dean's for any similar project."

"Great company! I would highly recommend Kyle and his services!"
Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.
When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.
Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.
If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
