"We recently hired Shamrock Chimney to repoint the brick walls on both of our bay windows and our front steps. We also had them perform a safety inspection and cleaning of our gas fireplace. Mr. Juan Ortiz was the company representative, and we found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. The repointing took approximately 7½ hours, and the results were exceptional. They carefully removed the old mortar, and the new mortar was matched perfectly to the existing brickwork. The bay window walls look like new again! They also completed a thorough safety inspection of our gas fireplace and did an excellent job cleaning the glass and fireplace. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the crew. I would definitely recommend Shamrock Chimney to anyone needing chimney, masonry, or fireplace services."

"I previously used this company to install a gas fireplace log system and had an outstanding experience. So I am surprised about my experience thus far as it seems out of character. About 3 weeks ago I called and set up an appointment for a gas fireplace servicing. I was given a date and a 2 hour window. We waited and nobody ever showed. I since have called twice and got voicemail. I have not received a return phone call. "I received A+ service from Granite Works. I met Bruno Valente, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold.  In a follow up discussion with Bruno, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available. Bruno gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.  Bruno held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it.  That day, we met Art Rivera who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding.  He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.  Gus Valente (co-owner), with assistance from Eduardo (stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace.  They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable.  Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Granite Works exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.  My counters are a work of art.

"In May 2018, Ashmaster's rebuilt the top of the fireplace chimney and installed a stainless steel flue liner for the wood stove insert. Work was done professionally, on time, and on budget. This year (May 2019), Ashmaster's inspected the work and they were just as courteous, friendly, and professional as before."

"I don't think I can express how wonderful the service was all around, and how grateful I am for it!  It was the weekend before Christmas, and our fireplace starts smoking to the point we can't use it.  I called around to find a sweep ASAP, but the earliest we could get was January 8th!  Then I found A&T.  They are, what I would consider, in the neighborhood, as opposed to most of the other companies who were in Montgomery County.  And they were extremely neighborly.  I called after hours, and someone picked up.  They were able to accommodate me on my schedule (because a lot of the work they do is in my area, they are spending their time sweeping not driving!), and the sweep was done the first business day after I called.  The sweeper called ahead and was very professional.  I used the Big Deal, too.  The fireplace is working great and we were able to use it over the holidays.  I will be using A&T again for any future services, and I highly recommend them.
