"Gus Mendez, the owner, was amazing. This was a very complex project repairing cracks in our living/dining room foundation. More extensive problems were discovered as the original 35 y/o foundation was poorly done. Gus figured it all out, removed the old foundation and the 8" of wet dirt underneath and replaced with 8" gravel, then rebar grid at 12", then new concrete and tile. Gus was a highly creative technical engineer and problem solver, and with a highly artistic/esthetic sense. There was really no one else who could have done this, as the only other company that does this had an insufficient assessment for the bid. See photos for the process and outcome."

We knew nothing about plants for NM, so we wanted an expert, and he is one. We walked the greenhouse together to select plants. It was a very good experience. His guys have been with him for many years. They are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects from irrigation to hardscapes. There are a lot of fly-by-night cheap guys in NM, but they won't be around to fix what breaks. You can find cheaper or more expensive, but you will get what you pay for. Eric has clients from years back and he also has the governor's mansion as a client. He will draw professional plans for you and your HOA at no additional cost, which few here will do."

"I got 3 quotes from different providers before deciding on Baca. All 3 were almost exactly the same price except that Baca included cutting the stumps below grade and then grinding the stumps. To me that was a huge deal and the job they did was outstanding. They had to coordinate with my neighbor to get all the limbs and do clean up. They were very professional and did everything just as it was quoted. The best part was that the other quotes said it would take at least 5 days and Baca said it would be 3 days. They completed all the work including hauling off all the wood in 2 1/2 days! And they did an amazing job of clean up including fixing some parts of a short retaining wall that they fixed better than it was before they came. There were no surprises with the invoice either. Everything exactly as quoted. I will use them and recommend them to everyone."

"I told the owner, the one who initially came to the house to write up the work proposal, that this was the second time I hired them and the first time wasn't exactly the greatest experience but I would give them 1 more try. The guys showed up a little late to the house, not really surprised because I had used these guys before and that was the case then too. One of the three guys was very cocky and complained about everything. He was a little rude to the other 2 and it made me feel uncomfortable. It took them about 30 minutes to actually start. The big piece of equipment they brought to use broke down in the first few minutes. All work stopped for repair efforts and more complaining by the 1 employee. After arriving that morning, the group finally started doing actual work around noon. All total it took 2 days. The work that was agreed upon was not completed. I mentioned my unhappiness before the workers packed up and requested payment. It makes me mad that I trusted this company again. I was charged a lot of money and didn't get the outcome I was told I would get. I cannot recommend this company, sorry I know people work hard to create a good reputation."
