"In preparation we moved everything in the basement away from the walls like they asked, although some of the shelves that I built could not be moved more than ~24 inches away from one of the walls. The next day the crew of three came over promptly at 8 AM. I told the crew leader about the shelves and he said that the space may be sufficient depending on the how far the footer underneath came in from the walls (as it turned out it was fine). They also moved the heavy concrete utility sink out of the way without damaging it. They crew hung plastic to partition the untouched sections of the basement and the rest of the house. I was told that the job was to take two days and it did. They cleaned up as best they could--vacuuming the stairs and didn't leave any debris or trash inside or out, although there was a light coating of dust on the everything in the basement which I expected. When they finished they walked me though the basement and everything looked great so I was glad to pay them as agreed in the contract. I am very pleased with the job, although I was slightly dissatisfied with the concrete pored over the drain because it wasn't always level with the existing floor and wasn't totally troweled smooth (I ended up floating the sections of the patch myself to level and get a better finish). Overall I think those are minor criticisms it was was a more than satisfactory experience."

They 1) repaired a leaking wall crack using a fill and carbon fiber seal, 2) replaced our original sump pump, 3) installed a full perimeter french drain system, 4) installed a second sump pump, and 5) a thermal armor wall cover on all walls. "Mark Hendrickson returned my call promptly, and came to my house that afternoon to look over the site and to give me an estimate and a time frame. On the day of the job, he arrived right on time and had made arrangements with another company to have my septic pumped out, prior to the repair work. Even though this was a relatively small job, Mark and his son who works with him, were professional and polite through the whole process. The cost was $300 for the actual repair and digging and $300 to have the septic pumped out. I would not hesitate to use Mark Hendrickson Excavating again, they were great to work with!"

The project involved landscape grading / yard leveling, installation of a new stone patio, planting trees and shrubs, running new drain pipes, seeding grass, installation of landscape beds, and installation of curbstone for mulch beds. Cambridge did an excellent and timely job and we are very pleased with the results. From start to finish, Scott and Kaitlyn were responsive, helpful and thorough."

"We chose Plymouth Landscaping because we have worked with them before and have always been completely happy. This time was no different; they did a terrific job. The crew (Jose, Arturo and Bulmaro) started on a Monday. They began work on time and worked efficiently and quietly. At the end of every day they left the front of the house as neat as a pin. Old shrubs had to be removed, as did the old front steps and walk, and they had this completed by the end of the first day. They blocked off the front door and entrance to the walk so that no one could make a mistake and get injured. During the project, there were several days of rain -- and here I want to mention the owner of the company, Joe, because his communication with us was excellent. During the days of bad weather, we knew when the crew was coming and when they weren't; we didn't have to rely on the weather to tell us, or make us guess. During the rainy days, the walkway remained very neatly blocked off. Once the weather improved, the crew finished the work just as efficiently and quietly as they began it. They also weeded the beds around the house, which improves the look of things quite a bit. I want to mention Joe again for two reasons. One is that he designed the top step to make it safer for a family member who uses a cane. He put the top step at the level of the doorstep, eliminating a potential trip hazard. The other reason is that he redesigned the drainage from one of our gutters so that rainwater and snow melt now disperse into the yard, as opposed to draining on the driveway, which in winter always left a hazardous patch of ice. This wasn't actually part of the project but he saw a problem and took steps to fix it. I would also like to mention that Jose, Arturo and Bulmaro were very friendly and thoughtful. Every day that they were here they brought our newspapers to the back door, which was very helpful. Even such a small gesture shows the kindness of the crew, and reflects the character of Joe, the man who hired them."

"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"
