I am writing this recommendation for Procrete and their owner Dave McBride. I decided to engage Dave and Procrete after searching for a hardscape / paver contractor local to my summer house in Margate. There are many contractors who will work at the shore, but my preference was to find a company based in the area vs. an hour away.

Dave was very professional in his approach, and consultative. I shared with him what we were looking for, to completely rebuild our back yard, from 50 year old ugly cracked concrete and a chain link fence to a new vinyl fence and pavers.

We shared our vision, and Dave’s firm provided a sketch of what the back yard could look like with a specific paver design, which we ended up going with – while making a few changes along the way.

We also had Dave install a built-in gas firepit that has exceeded our expectations. It is now the central point of our new back yard.

While at it, I also had Dave replace my old cracked driveway with new concrete and pavers for my front walkway. AS his team was already at my house doing a job, the extra cost was not prohibitive.

My biggest concern going in was using a contractor that I did not have a previous referral for. Dave provided referrals plus a list of properties in the local area that he did work on.

I must say, the work was top notch and we are thrilled with how our back yard came out. I had no less than 4 neighbors comment on the work they were doing and their commitment to doing a good job vs. a fast job.

I have been screwed before by contractors that finish the job 80-90% and then never come back to truly complete the job. Dave even came back to finish all of my items on a punch list after the job was done.

I 100% recommend Dave and Procrete for hardscaping, paver and concrete work.

"We used quality 1st on two occasions in the past year to address water in the basement of our brownstone. They first addressed the problem from the crawlspace - installed a sump pump, water guard trench, and cleanspace wall system (they also added support to the ceiling, which is the floor of a kitchen above). "I was required by my insurance company to replace an elevated section of my sidewalk due to underground tree roots. I reached out to Local Boyz and they were quick to respond with an estimate. The company kept me updated as to what permits would be required and also dates available so that I could meet the insurance company deadlines. The owner arrived at my home this morning around 7:30 and did a great job digging up tree roots, and pouring the cement to even out the sidewalk path. The work was done meticulously, and due to the very cold weather expected, a cement cover was placed across to protect it from the upcoming low temperatures. I was very pleased with the whole process and would definitely recommend Local Boyz!"

"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"

"Fred and his staff were beyond amazing. We had some foundation requirements along with special styling and they achieved all of our requests with extra care. The rough design was turned into a patio that we were imagining in our dreams. They warned us of their busy schedule and still beat their estimated time of completion by over two weeks. We have several tradesmen peers who were astonished by the quality of the work. The quality of the stamping and finishing work was done above expectations. They colored, power-washed, and used a high end sealer with grit to finish. The turnaround time from when they started the job to end was around 4 days. We could walk on it after a few days."
