"In preparation we moved everything in the basement away from the walls like they asked, although some of the shelves that I built could not be moved more than ~24 inches away from one of the walls. The next day the crew of three came over promptly at 8 AM. I told the crew leader about the shelves and he said that the space may be sufficient depending on the how far the footer underneath came in from the walls (as it turned out it was fine). They also moved the heavy concrete utility sink out of the way without damaging it. They crew hung plastic to partition the untouched sections of the basement and the rest of the house. I was told that the job was to take two days and it did. They cleaned up as best they could--vacuuming the stairs and didn't leave any debris or trash inside or out, although there was a light coating of dust on the everything in the basement which I expected. When they finished they walked me though the basement and everything looked great so I was glad to pay them as agreed in the contract. I am very pleased with the job, although I was slightly dissatisfied with the concrete pored over the drain because it wasn't always level with the existing floor and wasn't totally troweled smooth (I ended up floating the sections of the patch myself to level and get a better finish). Overall I think those are minor criticisms it was was a more than satisfactory experience."

"We hired Mike to do our basement waterproofing prior to finishing our basement. They 1) repaired a leaking wall crack using a fill and carbon fiber seal, 2) replaced our original sump pump, 3) installed a full perimeter french drain system, 4) installed a second sump pump, and 5) a thermal armor wall cover on all walls. Overall, we were quite pleased with the negotiations, timing, install process, and finished product. Would definitely recommend giving Mike at Aqua Dry a call for basement waterproofing."

"We used quality 1st on two occasions in the past year to address water in the basement of our brownstone. They first addressed the problem from the crawlspace - installed a sump pump, water guard trench, and cleanspace wall system (they also added support to the ceiling, which is the floor of a kitchen above). Their approach was sound, the cost was fair, and we were very happy with their service and the work itself. They then returned to address water coming in from the main basement area - we worked together on a reasonable approach that included adding a 2nd sump pump, a water guard trench and cleanspace wall system only where needed. This required a lot of coordination and communication with our plumber as well - all went smoothly, work was performed and cleaned up professionally. So far, so good! I am in construction myself and I reviewed their approach with other professionals including an engineer, and I have a lot of confidence in their products, their pricing, and their work."

"I highly recommend Pellicore Concrete! My wife and I hired Pellicore to remove our 10' wide asphalt driveway and replace it with a widened 18' concrete driveway. The project also entailed demolition of our existing concrete porch, replacing it, adding a new front patio, and tying the porch and patio work into the new driveway. Joe Pellicore met with us and gave us estimates for the entire project, along with breaking down the project into its component parts with estimates for each. We went with the entire project. Joe worked with us on dates for the project, which ended up taking 4 days. Joe and his staff arrived on time every day and kept us informed through each step, making sure we were involved in final decisions. Once the project was poured the crew did an amazing job cleaning up and backfilling gaps between the lawn and the new porch and driveway. They did fantastic work! "Everything went Incredibly well! I contacted Fred after seeing reviews in Angie's List. I was not at all sure what exactly I wanted as far as colors, patterns, etc. Fred came to the house and walked me through everything, made suggestions and demonstrated an incredible amount of knowledge and professionalism. Once we agreed on what work was to be done (I opted to follow all of Fred's suggestions) he reassured me that changes to the color and patterns could be made right up to the day before the work was going to be performed. He stated that it looked to be a 4 day job and described what would likely be done each day.
Later that evening I received the estimate and diagram by e-mail. I had received an estimate prior to calling Fred from a company that used EP Henry. Fred's estimate was half of what the other estimate was, and Fred's estimate included the 35 ft sidewalk, which was not a part of the EP Henry estimate.

I live alone and it just happened that I found out at the last minute that I had to go out of town and would not be back until the afternoon of the last day. Fred reassured me I had nothing to worry about. He was right. I came home the afternoon of the last day of work and Fred and his team had just left. Everything looked amazing! Perfectly done with a lot of pride. Everything was neat and clean. Neighbors stopped by to tell me how great everything looked and how professional Fred's team was. To top it off, my neighbor asked Fred, while he was doing the contracted work, if he would also look at replacing an old patio pad in the back. Fred's guys got that done too!
