"Mike and his crew took three days for this job which requires excavation, ground preparation, regrading, concreting in a six-footer berm of cobblestones, paving, sealing, and seeding of affected lawn. They came early, began promptly when township ordinances permitted, and worked as an efficient, highly coordinated team. They always consulted us for our opinions as the project went on to make sure that each step met our approval. Health professionals should show such ongoing concern and bedside manner. We were extremely satisfied."

"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"

"They did a great job. The front walk and patio look GREAT. Weeks later I still feel happy walking down the new front walk. They were all a pleasure to work with.  Scott and his site manager Alex were both easy to reach and responsive.  All the workers were friendly and professional and by and large the whole team worked clean.  The Cambridge pavers really look great and they seem to be good quality and the installation was well done.  All in all our entire house looks 1,000 times better from the outside for having done this work. The pavers are expensive to install; we had to ration the amount of space we used the pavers for.  Scott was great in helping us to work with our budget - we worked together on his initial estimate to drop things from the list or modify them to create a project that we could afford (just barely, ha) but that would still make a huge impact.  Scott was there at the end of the project checking every detail and running quality control, which was appreciated.  They were also flexible and willing to add/change things as we went along.
My only complaints: all the dust from both the work and from cutting the pavers left the driveway looking very dingy; I am now hiring someone to powerwash the driveway (and the house while we are at it). I did not feel they had a huge amount of advice to give about what to plant or how to arrange plants in the beds.  They are more about landscaping/hardscaping than gardening.  There was a mad rush to finish towards the end and a couple of details were neglected - in one place, gravel and mulch meet and now they are running into each other because a divider was not installed.  Another place where mulch meets the driveway seems like a bad idea in retrospect - the mulch is falling on to the driveway.  And where the pavers meet the driveway asphalt there is an unsightly seam that we have to figure out how to fix.
Finally, with a little more time to think it through we may have put a bed for plantings against the back of the house where there is now gravel.
Nevertheless I would work with Cambridge again without any hesitation and I would recommend them to anybody.
