"I met with Dave (project manager) and we discussed extent of work needed to restore my stone patio after many years of neglect. A key feature of the repair plan was to install a border around the stone patio. Dave also recommended that we pull up most of the lower patio and establish a good base for the stones, and repoint the upper patio where mortar joints were degraded. I decided to go with Daves recommendations and Lopez ( crew supervisor) and his crew did a great job restoring the patio. I am looking forward to pressure washing the stone to bring out the color after the mortar has fully cured. I could not be more pleased with the results!"

"Reviews are tough because they are subjective. In this case, it's pretty clear. ATD was very responsive initially- Charlotte did our site walk/quote and Tina managed the rest. Our spring clean up crew was AMAZING! With the exception of cutting an irrigation/sprinkler line, they were meticulous and worked hard in getting everything cleaned up & ready for the year. In our experience, where ATD dropped the ball was with the weekly mowing crew. They were not careful in cutting the grass, leaving uncut swaths at turns, clumps of cut grass all over the yard and crooked/choppy edging. We tried for weeks to show the guys what we wanted, where they missed & asked them to blow/clean up after mowing to no avail. In the end, when we decided to change to another company, I asked for them to repair the broken line they cut and was told they weren't going to send someone out to fix it. They did forgive the $70 balance in lieu of the repair, but our issue/the point was they didn't take responsibility for the damage/their errors & lack of "attention to detail". Bottom line: Clean up crew was GREAT- Weekly crew is lacking & managing them up is not an option."

"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"

"We hired Paradise Home Improvement to do a rather tedious and anxiety filled task for us. In a nutshell our entire home; from floor to the roof was sagging. We had a few contractors come out to give us an estimate, but John was the only one whom actually looked and did and "inspection" to find the cause of the issue while others just wanted to get started and start billing us. John found the issue was caused by a load bearing wall that had been cut to run pipes through for a bathroom we had added in our basement. The fix was a hard pill for us to swallow but we trusted John's opinion. He jacked the house up and built a new, temporary load bearing wall. Then his crew tore out the old wall and built a new one in its place. We are VERY pleased. The way they worked was astounding to watch, from communication to the work itself. "Roland jr and his crew from MD Waterproofing did a great job under difficult circumstances. A previous renovation by a previous owner dropped the basement floor. What we didnâ t realize is that they had never added underpins so the foundation was undermined. Once Rolandâ s crew broke into a wall to solve a leak, they saw this. They explained the issue clearly and explained the remedy. We were able to quickly get a new quote for the additional work from our company contact, Steve Maney, who was very professional throughout this. Total cost for our house was just over $20k for underpinning two walls and redoing the associated French drains. We will definitely go with MD Water proofing to finish the last two walls, once we have the money saved"

"Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. I would certainly hire them again for any general home repairs/improvements."
