"What a positive experience this was!  Arid is a family owned business, and they've been waterproofing basement for over 40
years.  I'd gotten estimates from some larger and smaller companies, but I'm a guy with a lot of questions and the 'Arid Family,"
Pat, Mike, Beverly and Kara answered all of them, making a good first impression.  Their price was right in the middle and seemed fair for the work that was done, which involved excavating a trench around my basement's walls, laying perforated PVC
pipe, liners, gravel, re-cementing and installing a sump pump. Seven men arrived and did the job from start to finish in six hours.
They were courteous and professional, took all debris away and swept clean.  Mike, the job foreman, was a real gentleman and addresed any concerns I had.
Pat, the owner and his cousin, came by on three separate occasions to do walk throughs and make sure everything was prepped properly berfore their crew showed up. Unfortunately, I had a finished basement which was getting water through the foundation, making life pretty miserable, these past few years.  So I had to 'unfinish' it so Arid could do their job.  They walked me through the process and made sure the demo work was done correctly.
I'm looking foreword to 'life without water', at least in the basement and would highly recommend Arid if you're having similar
problems.
By the way, if you ask for recommendations they'll show you a book with hundreds of them!

They first addressed the problem from the crawlspace - installed a sump pump, water guard trench, and cleanspace wall system (they also added support to the ceiling, which is the floor of a kitchen above). "As I did the first time I used Bob Lindsay's company, I waited six months to write my review. After withstanding nearly 13" of water from Henri and Ida, I cannot recommend this company enough. We used Bob at my first house and decided to use him again when our final walkthrough of our house revealed a wet carpet in the finished basement. Bob's guys replaced the shallow existing window wells with much deeper, galvanized ones, backfilled them with stone and piped them into a perimeter channel drain that was then flashed and cemented to the basement floor height. The sump pump pit was installed and a battery backup system was provided and wired in. The outside grading around the window wells was also redone to slope any surface water away from the foundation. Due to our Radon mitigation system, a polyurethane caulk was also used to seal the system. We remained absolutely bone-dry these last few weeks despite rain falling at 2-3" per hour in some cases. The work is efficient, his guys are extremely friendly and skilled, and despite the messiness of the job, they do a fabulous job cleaning up. There is a certain peace of mind that having this type of work done provides, and you cannot put a price tag on it, especially if you plan on finishing (or refinishing) a basement. At the end of the job, Bob was even kind enough to have one of his guys tie in a 2" piece of PVC from the floor with a cap (which I then drilled a hole in) so I can run my dehumidifier constantly without ever having to empty the bucket. We have since refinished our basement to our liking and know for certain that this was the best home investment we could have possibly made. A friend of ours has also done her entire basement with Weather-Tite and had an equally wonderful experience. Thanks Bob for saving us not once, but twice."
