"We are having an issue with the concrete footing of a pier and beam foundation on a house that is over 87 years old. I contacted Accurate Foundation Repair and requested an inspection of our foundation. Chad arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. We walked through the house and we discussed areas where the floors were slightly sloping and the two small hairline cracks in our hallway ceiling. Chad gave an honest opinion as to whether or not these issues needed addressing and the problems that might arise from fixing them. It was decided that the small issue of the minor foundation problems were not a problem and could be left alone unless something changed. 
The larger issue and the reason I contacted Accurate Foundation Repair was due to the concrete footing along one side of the house. It appears to be bowing out and causing the wood to separate from the frame. Chad looked over the area and determined that the issue would require a structural engineer to inspect. Chad was honest and up front with me and told me that he would not be able to fix the problem with the structure. He provided me with names of  engineers to contact.

"Our house was built in 2006 and over the past 10 year, several of our neighbors have had cracked driveways and foundation issues. Within the first 5 years, we'd noticed minor cracks running north/south through the house and feared there was a larger issue in the foundation. After reading reviews on several foundation repair companies, we scheduled an evaluation with G.L. Hunt because people were saying they were impressed with their service and those that had repairs done were pleased with the results. We were scheduled for an 8a to 10a time slot and Justin Brits arrived right at 8a. He asked us a lot of questions to get a good understanding of our concerns. He then mapped our floor plan measuring each room's dimensions. Marking the center of our house as zero, Justin then measured throughout and into every corner to see where the foundation may have raised or lowered over time. It was really cool to see the measurements across our floor plan and learned the SE corner of our house was an inch higher than the NW. He then walked around the outside showing us cracks and signs of settling. Justin wasn't trying to sell us anything. He was focused on giving us detailed data on the status of our foundation and letting us know if there was the potential of future issues. He went over several things homeowners can do to prevent future foundation problems. We feel much better about the state of our foundation. It was time well spent and Justin gave us the information and education we needed. Should we have any future issues, we'll definitely call Justin with G.L. Hunt Foundation Repair."

"We had a complete roof replacement, gutter replacement, screen replacement, as well as sheetrock repair, replacement, and repair done on the interior. Roof replacement included new roof vents and flashing. The work was done due to a bad hailstorm. Ivan was very customer-focused and responsive. The quality of the work is great. When two small leaks occurred at two points of flashing Ivan was out on Saturday with a workman to fix the issue. (This is a common issue with new roofs.) He came on Saturday after we notified him late Friday afternoon and after we told him the leaks were small and not causing damage inside. After the gutters were replaced touch-up painting was done on eaves. The gutter work even improved the drainage system; a downspout was moved and a drain pan was improved by the front door so water no longer cascades on the porch when it rains. For the interior work, the workmen draped the area so that floors, cabinets, and furniture were protected. Clean-up was thorough inside and out. Everything looks great! Ivan is efficient. He sends calendar invites so that you know when the different aspects of the work will be done. When Ivan says the work will start at 7:00 a.m. it definitely does. Our repairs were challenging as Ivan and his crew worked around the recent rains. Our roof insatll was delayed a day due to rain. The gutter workers came back several times to finish the work as touch-up painting and caulking cannot be done in the rain. Ivan also texts and calls to ensure that you know what is occurring and to respond to questions or concerns. Ivan did a walk-through with us to make sure we were satisfied with the work. His quotes are clear and detailed. Pricing is fair. We would definitely hire New Elite Roof again! We would recommend them!"

"Due to my home sitting on a slope, I have battled erosion problems for years. I finally had to admit I need ideas and help on getting the landscaping done that would help reduce and/or stop the erosion as well as looking good, adding value to the home and functional. I called a total of three landscapers. Two were not from Angies list and one (Pinckard) was from the list. Of the two that were not from the list one showed up said he would work up the bid and get back with me---he never did. The second person came out, told the estimate--- but didn't seem to excited about having to do it one step at a time . There was no way I could afford to the whole yard at one time---- be nice but just many issues that add up in cost. Mr. Pinckard arrived on time and was open friendly from the intital contact. I began showing him the issues with the yard and my concern was the total cost. I explained I would have to do the work at stages as I wouldn't be able to afford the total cost for the whole yard. Mr. Pinckard expressed different ideas that would address the most urgent needs, then we talked about the additional work that could be done later. A bid was given for each of the ideas as well as the time frame. Mr Pinckard was more than willing to do the work in stages and what I could afford. He also suggested a great tree guy---- before the yard work could begin some tree work needed to be done. I was able to decide to tackle two of the problems areas. About two days after we initially met, I called Mr Pinckard to let him know what I had decided. He was able to work me in within the week. His crew showed up as planned. They were polite and profoessionl. After the work, they cleaned up as well as discussed how I needed to water. And, how I should juggle the dogs so the new sod would have a chance to grow a food firm foundation . I still have some more work that needs to be done and will have no hesitation on having Mr. Pinckard come back for the work. The work that was done will give me a good head start and who knows depending on how the new grass and plants grow, the additional work may not have to be as intense. The price that I was quoted is what I was charged. There were no "surprise" unexpected issues. As soon as I am able, I will continue with the additional landscape needs and will use Mr. Pinckard service.
