"Getting the install scheduled was difficult: our calls were often unreturned and when we called on our own, we were not able to schedule the install. It wasn't until we threatened to cancel that a date was scheduled for installation. When the patio was installed, there were no borders to keep the pacers in place, leaving us to perform that work on our own. He have also had to add an additional 3 bags of sand to fill the cracks and complete that patio. The pacers look great and the work was done very quickly but the challenges in scheduling and the incomplete work preclude us from using this business again in the future."

"I was recently seeking a contractor on Angi for an urgent interior paint project at my home with quick turnaround time. This bedroom paint project included wall paint (2 colors; 1 accent wall), wall baseboard trim repair + paint, door trim repair + paint, door paint, and a plumbing panel replacement + paint. When I posted the request on Angi, Eugene from Honeycomb Construction called me within a minute after posting (Wow!). I explained my situation (baby on the way/arriving in weeks, nesting) and project details, and Eugene stopped by the same day to get a good look at room needing paint + repairs. Eugene was able to meet my familyâ s needs to get this room ready within one week. Although the estimated job timeline slid out by one day due to factors out of Eugeneâ s control (cold room on the basement floor, so paint takes longer to dry between coats), he did an excellent job with all the promised work: the paints of coat were even and full, the lines between the two colors of paint were crisp and clean, and the baseboard trim was looking sharp! Eugene does great work, heâ s really responsive and communicative throughout the process, heâ s really professional, and he is very kind. "It's unfortunate that I have to write this, especially since we started out so well with the first of a two phase project, but I have to write the good and the bad, which is why Angie's Lists exists. Jay Construction completed the second phase of a major project with some skepticism on my part about a top soil purchase they made on my landscapers behalf that ultimately ended with me purchasing a lot more top soil (almost $1K worth) so my landscapers could complete their portion of the project. I requested on numerous occasions for a copy of the receipt so I could see exactly how much soil they purchased and was delayed by excuse after excuse, which only made me wonder if they cheated me in some way. I mean, if you tell me you have nothing to hide, but yet it's been 3 weeks and I still have not received a copy of the receipt after multiple attempts what am I supposed to think. I can say that I think they are good at what they do and have a good work ethic, but after paying $50K to them on these two projects, money I didn't have readily available and had to pull from my 401(k) because of an emergency situation, I had hoped to be treated a lot better! I'm a single mom, I don't have extra money laying around..."
