The workmen did a very nice job making a level walkway to my backyard and gazebo and installed a nice little patio out side the gazebo. My walkway leading to my front door needed to be level and they were able to make it look like new. The workmen were pleasant and eager to please and I especially appreciated how nice they cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. "A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! We went on Angie's List and found The Pond Doctor and read the reviews. We contacted Mark King, the owner, and described the work we would like done and sent him pictures of our garden pond. Mark responded right away and explained the steps needed to clean the pond and outlined what his company would do and he then provided us a cost estimate. We felt comfortable with selecting The Pond Doctor and Mark placed us on his work schedule and a few days later Jeremiah, the foreman, and his crew arrived. Everyone on the crew was polite, professional, and experienced and quickly tackled the large job ahead of them. The end result - our pond looks wonderful. After removing all the muck, the pond and waterfall were power washed, vacuumed, and the pond refilled with clean water. "I had some extremely over grown areas that was almost impossible to maintain. So I reached out to J4 and within half a day Jeremy cleared out .25 of acre of brush, shrubs and small trees and now I have less maintenance and yard to enjoy. Thank you J4 and you always be our first call!!"

"They called Miss Utility and had the ground marked for the utility wire locations. They showed up as scheduled on a Thursday, removed the rotting wood beams. Each afternoon when they left, they covered the open area with tough plastic to keep things from washing away during thunderstorms. They came back each weekday, rebuilt the support structure, replaced all of the border wood beams, leveled the slates and power-washed the entire patio. They had to temporarily remove part of a fence in order to reach all of the wood beams that needed to be replaced, but they put the fence back carefully and neatly. They came back and filled in the places between the slates that had been dirt (which was power washed away) with light gravel. They finished up, neatening the dirt that had been moved around, including on my neighbor's side of the fence, on the following Thursday afternoon. They moved my patio furniture back into my preferred positions and I told them it looks as if I have a completely new patio!

"Working with Mike (the owner), Jose (the lead craftsman) and Angel (his skilled assistant) was an absolute pleasure.  Mike is a very knowledgeable and nice person.  He responded well to all of our questions and concerns, and educated us about the intricacies of stone work.  He made sure that we understood precisely what to expect on this project.  Jose is an exceptional artist.  He has a great eye for setting stone and for details that make a difference.  For example, he shaped the end of the walkway as it met the stoop in a way that makes it quite aesthetically pleasing.  Moreover, we had not even thought of this or asked for it.  Both Jose and Angel did exceptional work in selecting and arranging both the flagstone (pavers) and the fieldstone (which went on the risers.  The result in front and on the side is exceptional.  The side was a half moon, and Jose and Angel cut and arranged the stone perfectly.  Moreover, both of these highly skilled men were very pleasant to work with.  They always showed up promptly and cleaned up very carefully every day.  We were thoroughly impressed with their total professionalism, and would use them again in any future projects. Mike clearly takes pride in his company's work.  He stopped by to make sure that we were happy with the finished project.  Not only did we tell him that this was a very positive experience with Maxsell, but told him that we would definitely call him for any future stone work."
