"Installed two Liftmaster garage door openers. The installation went very well, the installer was friendly and professional, the price was competitive, and we are very happy with the result. We hired CPOD previously for garage door spring repairs, and were very happy with that work. We have also recommended CPOD to friends and neighbors."

"I booked Tier One Garage Door Service for a garage door maintenance visit at my home in Bee Cave after noticing the door was getting louder each week. Scheduling was simple and the appointment was confirmed quickly. Ben arrived on time and started with a full inspection. He tightened loose hardware, lubricated rollers and hinges, adjusted the track alignment, and checked the door balance. He also tested the safety sensors and opener to make sure everything was working correctly. He showed me a worn hinge that could have caused problems later and replaced it on the spot. After the service the door moved quietly and smoothly again. The experience felt honest and professional from start to finish. If you need garage door maintenance or reliable garage door service in Bee Cave or the Austin area, I would confidently recommend Tier One Garage Door Service"

"He was professional but the garage doors started having some problems now & I had to call them back. He suggested an extra steel bar to go across. I open and close it a lot because I work from home. I use mine quite a bit. I pressed a button and the garage door started going up & it started going all the way up and I started backing out and I brushed it. It damaged my car. All he did was place some bracing on it and changed the wheels. He said if I have any problems I call."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Cedar Park, TX

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
