"Spencer and Tanner were very helpful and efficient. The garage door works great now. They took the time to inspect and lubricate the tracks and provide information on the part warranty."

"They came and gave me a bid for repair which according to angi.com was above the high end of for this type of repair. I needed it done quickly so I okayed the repair. I never received a written estimate or work repair order. I was told that his wife does that on Sundays and I would receive it via email. I still have not received it. The work was done and the garage door is working, but I feel as though I could have had it done cheaper and with written paperwork and a warranty. I have a standard garage door and the repair cost me $350.00 plus tax."

"They were absolutely wonderful! Denisse, Paola and Luis did an amazing job. My house was in pretty bad shape. There was a corner in the back by garage that was rotted out and black that all had to be replaced and it is beautiful now. They went above and beyond. They take their time and make sure that EVERYTHING is covered, taped and under plastic before they start anything. They work methodically and kept the same pace all day and work so we'll together. They are extremely kind and pleasant to work with and it seemed like they never stopped. They were also so quiet! The owner, Yven, was so easy to work with and didn't have to worry about the crew. He checked and re-checked with me to make sure the colors were correct before they started and gave advise when i needed it. I cant say enough about this company, the owner, Yven, and his crew, Denisse, Paola and Luis. I have seen some pretty bad house painting jobs so I am very happy to have picked the best company in my opinion. Thank you!"

"Chris was referred to us by a trusted friend to turn two of our bedrooms into a small apartment. One of the bedrooms was converted into a living area with a kitchenette. Chris did an amazing job installing the cabinets and countertop. His subcontractors that did the flooring and plumbing for kitchen sink did a great job as well. Chris also cut an exterior door and added an interior door to separate from the main house. All of the work Chris did was exceptionally well done. He was always here when he said he would be and got the job done in a timely manner. His communication was on point. When this job was done we asked Chris to also put cabinets in our laundry room and change out our countertop. Another project done very well! Price point for both projects were very reasonable. Would highly recommend Chris and his team for any project, big or small."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Fruitland, ID

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
