"It went very well. The guys were on time. The work was done in a very timely manner (it took them a little longer than expected, but that wasn't their fault). We had talked to Lowe's about installing garage doors and installation department said the openers would have to be lowered a foot with corresponding loss of door opening height. C an C did it and both doors and openers look and work great with no loss of headroom!"

"Kris was professional and gave me a discount since he was unable to come out at the originally scheduled time (not his fault). The work was completed in about 2 hours, including tightening and replacing missing screws. He explained what he was doing and described the replacement parts he used.  I plan to get a new garage door in the future and will definitely call Kris again.

"We had an urgent need to repair our broken garage door as it was stuck closed and we needed to use our car. Tony was able to come out within a couple of hours and did an excellent and speedy job of replacing the broken part and getting the door back in working order. Very grateful for his help and his pricing is very fair. Would recommend him to anyone."

"Garage Door Innovations replaced the entire garage door (panels).  They re-used all of the decorative hardware instead of charging for new hardware.  I have used them multiple times and have found them to be an outstanding company who provides top notch work at a reasonable price.  I would recommend Garage Door Innovations to anyone looking for a garage door service / replacement."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in White Plains, GA

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
