"I had an EXCELLENT experience with Comfort By Design (Hudson location) starting with Aaron who came out to give me a quote on replacing my Furnace/AC to the guys that installed it all. Aaron thoroughly explained all of my options and provided me an estimate right then and there.  He communicated with me very promptly on any questions I had when I was deciding what to get. Everything he said (quietness, quality, what was included in the price, etc) was exactly what he promised. The guys who installed it both knew what they were doing, were very professional and cleaned up everything as if they were never there. They also were there exactly when they said they would be.
Comfort by Design is very reasonable and left me feeling good knowing what I spent my money on!   My only regret is wasting time getting 3 other quotes.  STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!!

"Great service, fast response time, tech (Vitaliy) was outstanding, going above and beyond the basic repairs needed for a faulty bearing on a newer motor. Gave me a few lessons about heating and a/c I was not to familiar with, even though i am an electrician, although in the power production end. "Hoffman Cooling & Heating replaced my 2 gas furnaces which were each almost 30 yrs old. I first met with Andy to get an estimate. He was honest about what I actually needed. I was told that Hoffman Cooling & Heating strives to provide "good quality products at good prices" and I really felt like they honored that. When the team (Dan & his apprentice, Bobby, and Mike) came out to do the work they were on time, efficient, completed their work, and left the area clean. I asked a lot of questions and they were all willing to share information with me to help me understand the system and the work being done. "Job: We had Randy's Electric install 6 canned lights on dimmer switches and fix some on-going electrical problems that we've had. Pretty simple, one-day job. Pros: Overall we thought the quality of work was very good. The canned light installation looks great and they fixed the other annoying electrical issues without a hitch. They completed the scope of work quickly and were very accommodating to getting us on booked on their schedule. They didn't leave a mess in the house at all and it appears as though they didn't need to access the attic to run the electrical lines for the cans. We were concerned over accessing the attic because we recently had an insulation job done and we didn't want that to be messed up if possible. A pretty simple job but they got it done with good workmanship and the priced seemed fair for electrical work. Cons: There were two main issues that we had with this project, one of which may be the result of us not being up-to-date with current canned lighting technology. The canned lights look great but according to feedback I got from Randy's Electric, the bulbs are built-in LED's with the trim fixture. So, no unscrewing a canned bulb, you have to pull the entire trim fixture out with the bulb inside to replace them. We were never consulted on this at all or other canned lighting options during the quote. Apparently, it was you get these canned lights and that's it. So, every time I need to change the fixture/bulb combo I have to called Randy's Electric for support? That doesn't seem cost effective for us. Apparently, the bulb/trim fixtures are guaranteed for 5 years but what happens after that? I guess I'm on my own to figure out how to swap these bulb/fixtures in the event that they go out. The other issue was that because we had that insulation job done in the attic, we were concerned over heat loss from punching the holes in the ceiling for the cans, which is a necessary thing but can result in significant heat loss. We were never advised from Randy's about how, or even if they do, seal the canned lights for heat loss. I hope they did, and based on the workmanship, they're probably sealed them, but we thought it would be good to know for sure. So, that's the reason for the 3.5 stars for customer service. Overall, we thought they did a good job and I'd hire them again but they need to be a little bit better during the quote process about detailed items as discussed above."

"The price for boiler and install was better than other vendors. Chris was willing to answer questions via email. They were able to install the same week. Chris came over the next week to look at an issue we had that ended up being operator error on our part on existing parts of our in floor heating system. Great response, great service. Highly recommend."
