"Serviceman came out to residence promptly. Diagnosed and repaired problem quickly and efficiently... Also performed some remedial A/C service that I neither knew to ask for or expected to be done.... Quite happy with the experience..."

"Everything went well. It was very efficient, and I signed up for the "club" that provides twice-yearly maintenance and several extras and a guarantee, some of which goes beyond what other companies offer. I was very pleased. The basic cost for maintenance is $89; the increased cost was for the UV work, which was a competitive price."

"All the work went smoothly. Had a question about the heat pump turning off during a cold spell in Florida and they came out the next day to check it. Very professional. Answered all of our questions. David went the extra mile to research about adding a heat strip to our heat pump. Spent time explaining everything to us. I would hire them again for any of my havc work."

"Excellent company! We are very satisfied. We have lived in our south Florida house for 25 years. This is our 3rd AC. We were told by the other AC people that it was not possible to get the temperatre to 75 degrees in the heat of summer, in the middle of the day. So, for 25 years we have lived in AC that rose to 82 degrees in the summer. NOT ANYMORE! Comfort zone gave our home the correct sized AC and replaced our old ductwork and gave us better insulation for the attic. Like anything, there were issues that came up like one room did not get the suficient airflow and wasn't getting as cool as the rest of the house. Chris and his team fixed it immediately. Every single issue we had Comfort Zone handled it professionally, quickly and had a great attitude to help us and make sure we were completely satisfied. The best part was they ALWAYS solved the issue. We are very happy that we had our AC installed by Comfort Zone. Chris and the whole team were great. Knowing that we now have a relationship with a company that will be with us for a long time is very comforting. The picture says it all. That is at 2:15 in the afternoon at 90+ degrees outside."

"Very very well. Extremely helpful with monthly maintenance tips. A special pump had already been installed by honest air but did not have a trap. He installed the trap and took the time to show me how to add bleach to keep the system clean. Thanks Kevan!!"

"My A/C replacement went way better than expected. This company went above and beyond to keep the work areas clean. Everything was explained to me in detail, no hidden costs, I couldn't be more happy with Chris and Terry, I highly recommend them."
Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
