"Climate Mechanics worked hard to make sure we had both systems replaced on the same day and before the summer heat started. Nathan provided excellent service and communication throughout the whole process, from the first visit through the install. We are very happy with our systems and are confident knowing we are working with a local company that will be there for the service and maintenance of the units."

"My gas boiler stopped working. I wanted to find a local contractor and came across Whitestone Heating and Cooling. After some research I read their reviews which were all excellent. So I called and Oscar came to my home. He and his partner looked at it and thought the leak was caused by a problen that renders the heater unrepairable. After relighting the pilot light he made a slight adjustment to the valve which stopped the leak. He could have just told me the heater was cracked and useless just to have me buy a new one to make himself more money but he didn't which i was so very grateful. He's coming back to put a sleeve in the chimney. I recommend Oscar and Whitestone Heating and Cooling to anybody who needs help with their heating or cooling systems. Today its so hard to find a contractor who above all is honest and wont take a person to the cleaners. Rest assured you can trust this one. Thank you again, Oscar. God Bless."

"Fresh Air Flow went above and beyond to help me with my furnace service and repair. I had a faulty install on my home electrical panel that exacerbated a pre-existing problem issue with my furnace. Fresh Air Flow's team of professionals handled the installation of a brand new electrical panel and identified the issue with my furnace. The situation was resolved quickly and professionally. I am also having a central air condition system installed by Fresh Air Flow. I am sure that experience will be amazing as well. I highly recommend anyone in need of HVAC services use Fresh Air Flow. "For over 20 years my wife and I used another A rated Angie’s List heating and air conditioning firm and we have given them good reviews in the past. Recently our 20+ year old heater started acting up. At times throughout the day or night the burner wouldn’t ignite and we would be without heat. After seven service calls and various parts at the cost of $700.00 our old service company could not repair the heater and the problem remained unresolved. So we decided to get estimates to replace our entire HVAC system mainly due to it’s age and this unsolved problem. Vaughan Heating and Air Conditioning was on our list of acceptable companies to speak with due to their Angie’s List A rating. We called Vaughan and they sent Tony Pellegrino to our home the next day. My wife and I were very impressed with Tony. He spent over an hour at our home scoping out our basement, configuring our new system and answering our questions. Later that day we received the Vaughan estimate that Tony sent by email. I called Tony and he spent another hour on the phone addressing my questions and concerns. We received the other competitor's estimates over the next two days. We accepted the Vaughan’s estimate which was $1,100.00 more then the lowest estimate and $2,500.00 less then the highest estimate we received. Our choice was based on our comfort level with Tony, the price of the job, the longevity of the company (established in 1937) and the quality of the heating and air conditioning units that Vaughan installs. We accepted the Vaughan estimate on Saturday evening and Tony scheduled our job that coming week on Tuesday (for the heater) and Thursday (for the air conditioner). The reason for the one day in between work was because they squeezed our job into an already full week of installations and we were really pleased that they did that for us. On Tuesday morning at 8:30am the installer’s, Marcus and Jeff were at our house ready to start the job. These guys were friendly, professional, extremely competent and also very neat and clean, covering our rugs, etc. Jeff and Marcus did and exceptional job installing our new HVAC system. It’s “state of the art”! My wife and I are extremely happy with the job Vaughan Heating & Air Conditioning did and we could not be more comfortable, then we are now, in our home. A great price, a great people and a great job! We highly recommend Vaughan Heating & Air Conditioning! Len & Lorraine Fedullo"

"We have been very pleased to use Raynor Services for installing new outlets in our home as well as yearly service to our heating system and electrical inspection of our electrical systems. Bob E. just left after inspecting our electric and offering some options for projects we plan next spring. The attention to customer satisfaction from Raynor has been exemplary. We can always reach a live polite person by phone, receive immediate attention, and on-time respectful technicians that clean up after they are done working. Bob E. was professional and yet cheerful and friendly in explaining options and costs to me this morning. Who could ask for anything more? We do pay $19 per month to insure our HVAC and electrical systems are safe and effective. Raynor is our trusted "go-to" company."

"We inherited a property with zero documentation regarding prior work. We had noticed a large amount of water pooling in the air handler instead of being managed by the condensate line/ pump. Very rapid and efficient service. The original work by some unknown company was definitely not to the highest quality standards, and he offered excellent guidance to immediately improve the air sealing of the system. It looked and functioned much better after he was done!"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Willingboro, NJ

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
