"Unfortunately we found asbestos containing floor tiles under a laminent floor in our house. We made the decision to have the material abated and conduct a kitchen remodel (new cabinents) at the same time. There are not many options in the area when it comes to asbestos abatement contractors and even fewer who will provide both abatement and renovation services. We quickly decided to go with Contractors Unlimited because they offered both services and Bill was responsive, knowledgable and very personable - and we were not disapointed. Bill and his crew performed an excellent job, ontime, close to the originial estimate price (we expanded the scope slightly), and at a more than reasonable cost. Bill and his crew kept us in the loop as the demolition/abatement progressed, calling us throughout the day. After the work was competed he kept in touch as we worked to schedule our replacement kitchen and worked with us to accomodate our tight deadlines. As the new cabinets were installed, Bill and Dwayne oversaw the installation, insured that the floors weren't damaged and paid attention to the little details with respect to craftsmanship.
We would highly recommend Contractors Unlimited and will definitely consider them in the future for any renovation needs!

"My husband installed a new back door that was not closing correctly. I paid for the Handyman At Your Command Big Deal where you get 4 hours handyman work for $199.00. I had to pay additional because we didn't have the correct supplies to complete the job. The handyman went to home depot and purchased the supplies needed. He had to take off the door completely to balance it. He framed it out and insulated the perimeter outside. It took him 6 plus hours to do the work and shopping. The result was excellent! The door is very attractive and best of all, opens and closes smoothly and gently. I would hire them again to do work on our house. I recommend them !"

"A pipe leading to exterior hose bib was not properly insulated and froze over the winter. Turning on exterior water lead to leak and our realization about the problem. Jiffy sent someone the next day. Bawla arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem and offered a solution. He was able to repair it same day and price seemed reasonable. Great service, would hire again."

"Accurate Insulation did work as a sub-contractor to TerraLogos, so it’s difficult to comment on their direct price. The crew was on time, knowledgeable and neat. I have a rancher with a 3,800 square foot large attic. The house was built in 1963, so it had minimal insulation. We also have over 100 recessed lights-- a major source of air leakage. Each of those needed to be enclosed and sealed. The crew of 6 men spent 11 hours completing the job. The true test will be my electric and oil bill !"

"We were initially a bit surprised by the price quote, but we wanted to go with a high-quality window and window well. Also, the quality of the work performed by Travis Graham and his crew member was outstanding. In cold, wet December weather they excavated 6 feet down to the foundation footer and cut through the foundation to install our vinyl egress window and MarFlex window well. Travis Graham always came to our house with a smile and a good attitude. Right after we signed the contract, Travis went to his normal vendor and discovered that they no longer kept the window well we wanted in stock. He found out that the window well had to be ordered and the price would be higher than what was originally quoted. Instead of raising our price, Travis honored the contract by absorbing the extra cost. Graham Restoration also went the extra mile and not only filled in the hole they dug, but also grated and seeded the dirt.
As an aside, we found out that Graham Restoration hangs Christmas lights for a small fee. We had them outline the front of our house with lights we had bought, and they also took them down for us. I think we had one of the best looking houses on the block.
Honest contractors that perform quality work are hard to find. I highly recommend using Graham Restoration for your next project.

Local and federal rebates are available for insulation installation, which can significantly reduce your overall costs. Many utility companies offer incentives or rebates to homeowners who improve their home's energy efficiency. Contact your local energy provider or government agencies to learn about available programs in your area, and consult with a professional insulation installer to maximize your savings.
It's not necessary to remove old insulation before adding new insulation, as long as the existing insulation is in good condition—dry, free of mold, and not damaged. Adding new insulation on top of old insulation can improve your home's energy efficiency by increasing the overall R-value. However, if the old insulation is wet, moldy, or damaged, it's best to remove it before installing new insulation to prevent potential health risks and ensure optimal performance.
Insulating a house takes between five and twelve hours for batts or boards, and two to five hours for spray foam or blown-in insulation. The exact time depends on the size of your home, the type of insulation, and the accessibility of the areas being insulated. Keep in mind that projects may take longer if old insulation needs removal, if there's a larger square footage, or if spaces are difficult to reach.
