"Bruce was very responsive to my call. We scheduled an appointment 2 business days after our first contact. Bruce was on-time and very professional. He looked at the basement and said it was a good waterproofing job and looked at the mold area - and it turns out its the type of mold we can remove ourselves by peeling the paint off. "I was very pleased with the work by Radon Abatement services. John Swett preferred to provide an estimate over the phone, but upon my request he came to the house to help us determine the best location to install the system. I have a partially built-in work bench in the basement utility room where the hole needed drilled into the foundation and the PVC pipe run up to above ground, but John helped us come up with a solution. I had to detach the workbench from the wall to make room for drilling the hole, but once that was complete, the installation team leader, Walter, helped me put the workbench back in place and drill holes right through the workbench and storage shelves so that the workbench could remain flush against the wall. He even installed a collar in the pipe in case I ever need to remove the workbench again. A test the next week showed that the Radon levels dropped to 0.4. I am providing a B rating for responsiveness because several emails and voicemails I left during the busy summer home sales season went unanswered. However, once I tried again in the fall John was extremely responsive. In my case, I was not in a rush and it was worth waiting."

Justin was prompt, polite and very friendly during the entire process. One the first visit, I gave him the "laundry list" of other things that needed to be done. He priced them all in a written estimate. I just wanted to try out his company to see how things went before we started with the bigger items on the list. Things went so well, I will definitely be calling him again. In fact, I am writing this review after contacting him to work on another item from the "laundry list." The pricing was a little higher than I expected. But, 1) that could be coming from my Midwestern pricing experience and 2) the service and quality of work were definitely worth it.
Also, the immediate help I received from an unexpected event between the time I first called Justin and his first visit on site was a life saver. After I called to set up the estimate, there was a sudden storm that sent a power surge through the house and knocked out the air conditioning. Justin was coming over the next evening and I asked him for help when he arrived. (the summer in DC without air conditioning? no thank you very much). He made a call and someone was at my door the next day. I was expecting over the top pricing, but it was very fair and reasonable.
Overall, Justin and the folks he sent to do the work were friendly, efficient, polite and got the job done to my expectations. Will definitely be using Adam Contracting as "my guys" now.

Sample results and accompanying lab report were emailed within 36 hours. All samples were analyzed by a local lab accredited under the NIST NVLAP Asbestos Fiber Analysis Lab Accreditation Program, so I felt comfortable trusting the results. The inspector seemed very knowledgeable and helped walk us through any areas that could be of concern. Thankfully all samples were negative, but the modest inspection and sampling fees were well worth the piece of mind during our remodel. In short, I highly recommend this company for asbestos testing/inspections."
