"The project took two days. It involved jackhammering about 65 feet of concrete 6 inches wide next to the indoor block wall. The concrete was super hard and that task was hard work. Installation of the below ground drainage system and sump pump went smoothly. All jack hammered material was carried out one 5 gallon bucket at a time. Needless to say there was a lot of dust created indoors. Perhaps they could invent a better way to suppress or deal with that dust. We have had one hard rain since the installation, and not a single drop of water appeared in an area that would have previously seen water.

"Harmond was extremely professional. He listened and guided me through the process and offered a solution that solved the issue! So much easier than having to arrange and wait for a repair technician to come into our home, and so much more time efficient and very cost-saving!"

"We had a major water leak under our house and needed to call a plumber to fix the leak. The plumber I have used in the past did not answer my calls or even return my call. I called Adkins Plumbing and they came out and repaired the leaks under our house. They did a fantastic job and came quickly to our rescue. I will be using Adkins Plumbing for any future issues I have."

"I had a plumbing problem that needed immediate attention. After calling local plumbers to no avail, I went to Angie's list and called the first plumber on the list. He called back immediately and said he'd be there within the hour. He showed up when he said he would, politely introduced himself and his assistant, and went right to work. Not only did they resolve the blockage, they discovered the break in the pipe that caused the problem. These two guys worked like a well-oiled machine. They were focused, efficient, and professional; they explained everything they were doing; and they treated my 94-year-old mother like a queen! I'd hire these guys back in a minute! They are superb professionals!"

"The plumbing was great; I loved them. They were efficient. It has reduced my gas cost; it is great. I would recommend them because they were very professional; from the guy that came out to give me an estimate to the people who called me in the office to make sure I got everything and to the guys who actually did the work. It only took them two days. They were very polite, cleaned up after themselves, and were very fast. Price was actually very good and they were here when they told me they would be here. I am going to have them do another job."
Schedule a plumbing inspection every one to two years to ensure your system is in good working order. Regular inspections can help you catch minor issues before they become costly problems, like major water damage repairs. You should also consider a plumbing inspection when buying or selling a home or if you notice signs of a plumbing issue. Staying proactive with maintenance can save you money and stress in the long run.
A plumbing inspection for a standard one-story to two-story home takes between two and three hours. For larger residences, historic homes, or rental complexes, a complete inspection requires a full-day commitment of eight hours. However, this does not account for any necessary repairs that your plumber might find, so it’s best to set aside additional time during the inspection in case an unexpected repair comes up.
When built with quality materials, your plumbing system endures for decades. CPVC, brass, iron, and steel provide reliable service for 50 to 70 years, while copper extends durability up to 100 years, and PEX maintains performance for 80 to 100 years. Maintaining this system with regular inspections and prompt repairs guarantees long-term efficiency.
You should repipe your home when your plumbing exceeds its expected lifespan or uses hazardous materials like lead, polybutylene, or galvanized steel. Persistent leaks, corrosion, and compromised water quality signal that your existing piping no longer meets safety standards. Repiping eliminates potential health risks and prevents extensive water damage.
