The pooling water issue in the basement was resolved, and the floor is now dry; the work was ultimately completed. ? Initial estimate visit was free, but not thorough ? Senior staff came out later to apologize and review the work. Cons ? Pricing was far higher than industry norms based on later bids. ? Avoidable scope changes and price increases after work began; two other plumbers said the job could have been done as originally quoted. ? Communication issues (delayed quotes, unclear explanations, forgotten site details). ? Work quality/finishing didn?t match the premium price; two professionals asked if we had done the work ourselves. Added pictures because I don't know plumbing, so you decide if you'd want this. ? Extra fees add up: 10% financing fee (Synchrony) and 4% credit card fee."

"The whole process of working with 5 Star was great. Alvin came out and showed me what they had to offer. No high pressure selling. He quoted me a price that was good for 5 days. Which gave me time to check out the company. The office staff helped arrange the asbestos test and scheduled the installation for days most convenient for me. Erik and his crew were professional. The demolition, installation of the plumbing, walls, and inspections by the city all worked perfectly. I was told it might take 3 days. They were done in 2. They started on a Monday morning and by Wednesday night I was able to enjoy my new shower."
