"The owner personally met with the customer to talk about the job requirements and the price quote.  The company was ready to start within a few days of when we accepted the bid.  The crew arrived on time.  All light fixtures, downspouts, etc. on the surface of the stucco were removed.  A trench was dug all around the house to coat the existing stucco down to its base.  Repairs and patching were done.  I am a particular customer and was present during much of the work.  Any occasional oversight by the crew that I observed was easily and quickly resolved.  Any windows, rain barrels, etc. that needed to be protected from the stucco materials were well masked/covered.  The synthetic stucco color coat was applied in a two step process....first, a hard trowel application and second, a soft trowel application.  Many companies would not do both.  All patching and original defects were well covered and disappeared.  The synthetic coat always was sealed up against any window frame, door frame, etc.  After the stucco application was completed, all lights, downspouts, etc. were reinstalled.  The clean up of project trash, etc. was completed well, but not as completely as my environmental eccentricities would have desired.  But given the quality and speed of the job, I was happy to do the final picky clean up stuff myself.  The house now looks better than with the original, traditional, three layer stucco coating.  I live quite remotely, so it was decided to use a larger crew.  This saved on crew travel down time.  A crew of nine was used and the entire job was completed in three days.
The only significant problem that I found after the work was that the louvers of an attic fan would not open.  The fan had been covered/masked, but the frame of the louvers was such that even a tiny amount of stucco residue would prevent their opening.  I called the evening of the crew's last work day to report the problem.  The next morning crew arrived and quickly fixed the problem before noon.  Especially in New Mexico, work of this quality is seldom found.  The company is located about 60 miles from our home.

Joe Papa and his son John, owners of New Surface Technology, were highly recommended to me by Home Advisor.  After trying the yellow pages with absolutely no luck I called Home Advisor.  They connected me to New Surface Technology.   Mr. Papa called back immediately and came out the next day to make a bid.  He explained how he would resurface our Cultured Marble surfaces in our bathrooms including sinks, cabinet tops, bathtub and walls around them and still be able to see the marbling of the original surface.  We were having new faucets installed in our bathrooms and since it had been 28 years since they were put in, the surface around the existing faucets had stained and the new faucets would not fit the same shape to cover the stains.  Joe Papa and his son worked with our plumber and made the counters and walls look almost new.  They worked hard and diligently making sure we were satisfied and reworked any spots they were not happy with also.   The surface looks great and there are no stains around the new fixtures.  My wife and I could not be more pleased.  I highly recommend New Surface Technology.

"For a while, I was really always it seems that anytime I needed something, I couldn't get it timely. The first they would ask, for instance, when my air conditioning went out I had them and it's well have you maintained it. The application being that if you couldn't produce maintenance records they weren't going to do it. So on air conditioner was unhappy. They shocked me . I had a recent leak inside the loft. They sent somebody out here. They really did a good job on it. They were timely. A leak within the draining system inside the wall, I was getting water damage down the wall. They sent a plumber out. He opened up the wall and replaced the piping in there and then patched the wall back up. They don't do finish work on their patch up but hey do the patch. He was a pretty sharp young man. He was responsive. He came and he needed some things. he went and got them. He came right back. That was one that I was wondering if they were even going to do caus they'd been going on for a while. It was a drainage pipe in the wall. It was a manufacturing defect that had probably leaked from some early years of the home and got progressively worse until I could hear it. Actually when I would turn on the water on a certain faucet I could hear it drip down onto a fireplace. That's how I knew what it was. They don't do the finish. You do the finish. They do the patch. The only reason I kept them was because they showed me a different face with that repair. Before it seemed like everything you wanted they had a reason not to do it."
