"I originally needed just baffles installed in my attic, but no one would come out just to do that since it would be too cheap of a job. The sales person came out for this, was very informative, did an attic inspection and explained the situation to me. I agreed to go ahead with adding insulation in addition to having the baffles installed so I could bring my attic insulation up to code.
The part I need to gripe about is the scheduling. While they scheduled the work relatively quickly, they cancelled on me twice. And this wasn't a cancellation the day before, they called me the day of during the time they were supposed to arrive, the first time because it was too cold (it was around 5 degrees F) and the second time because there was too much snow on the ground (I shoveled my driveway that morning, it was 6 - 8" and the roads were plowed). When they finally did make the appointment on the third try, they were profession and the work was done well and quickly.
I don't think my experience should stop others from contracting them, but the poor scheduling and last minute cancellations left a bad taste in my mouth. Had they called me the day before saying the weather was suspect and given me the option to reschedule then so I wouldn't need to miss work for nothing, it would have up'ed their score here.

Billy took switch plate covers to the paint supplier to get a match. It also included painting new wood trim around a recently replaced patio door. To get the process started, Jon Nelson personally visited our home and conducted a detailed assessment of the areas to be painted and also examined the rest of the house for future work. He very promptly provided us with an estimate for the first phase as well as the future work. He worked closely with us to carefully choose the specific brand and colors of paint. The highly professional work his team conducted included patching and sanding in preparation, followed by the application of the appropriate layers of different tones of paint for the walls and ceilings. At the end of each workday, the crew cleaned up and stored their gear, and when the job was complete, they left the work area cleaner and much more orderly than when they began. They were professional, polite, worked carefully, and made friends with our large dog Ruffio. We are looking forward to their return to paint the rest of our home in the near future."

"Stohl Painting was excellent. Nathan and crew were extremely careful, very detailed oriented , and took much pride in their work. They did extensive prep work to the walls and ceilings of our home which had not been repainted since the orginal construction in 1997. They repaired nail pops, cracks, etc. and smoothed the walls prior to applying paint. They were very thorough in covering floors, furniture, light fixtures, etc.and vacuumed, dusted, etc. after painting was completed. Our home has 19' ceilings in the great room that includes an open staircase. This presented no problem as they were able to safely utilize ladders, etc. and avoided having to assemble scaffolding. I am very pleased with the quality of paint used, it is very washable and looks great. Our deck railing looks outstanding. Nathan chose to use a colored stain over an oil based primer and the color match to our home was exact. We were so pleased with how this deck turned out that we have asked Nathan and crew to return this spring to repair and repaint our entire front porch railing and column system. A job this large will have the occsional missed area or repair that was not noticeable during the day but became visible at night. Stohl Painting immediately corrected any areas that were less than perfect that either we found or they observed when they would inspect the previous day's painting. This was a big job. Nathan had originally estimated seven days of work with a full crew, we added items after they started, the railings were delayed numerous times due to rain, etc, and we then decided to repaint a downstairs stairwell and attached large gameroom, which added another three days. In total, the painting job took almost a month to complete, with at least one person and usually two or three of his crew here daily. But my husband and I could not have possibly done all this painting ourselves without it taking months and we certainly would not have produced the quality finish Stohl Painting provided."
