His personality, level headedness, his problem solving skills, knowledge of his craft and the ability to work with others so appreciated. While excavating for the septic Leitchfield, I had him do other work on the property, moving earth and building a retaining wall. When he discovered a huge cavern where earth had eroded to the point of danger, he immediately ordered everything and had it fixed in a few days. He was here on time, and he stayed on the job until it was finished. Here ever day. That isn't always the case, especially when unexpected things (like a cavern) show up and the job takes longer than planned. "My wife and I have worked with Hastings Construction for over 20 years. Justin has completed work, both on simple and complicated projects, including new construction, remodels and repairs, both for us and for many of our clients. On each of those projects he and his team have exhibited a high level of experience, expertise and professionalism. Justin is an excellent communicator, and is always available to his clients when challenges arise during the completion of a project; he always returns phone calls/texts within a few hours, and most often does so â immediatelyâ . One recent example to show how Justin goes â above and beyondâ to ensure his clientsâ satisfaction: Justinâ s team installed a Generac generator at our home in October 2022. The unit worked as expected during the early part of the storms/floods we on the Monterey Peninsula experienced in January 2023, but then failed. It simply would not start, or generate electricity as designed. Once it failed, we made immediate contact with the Generac customer service department, which proved both immediately and over the next three months to be entirely unresponsive and untrustworthy. Their goal from the very beginning was to deny responsibility for the failure, which they ultimately did. We made dozens of phone calls to the customer service department and left dozens of voice mail messages, as did Justinâ s project manager (initially) and Justin (once we had utterly failed to get any meaningful response from Generac). During that same time period, we experienced more than a dozen PG&E power outages at our home, and were â left in the darkâ , without a functioning generator, during all those outages. Finally, in mid-March 2023, after more than three months of us living with a brand new but failed generator, Justin made the â high roadâ decision to purchase a new generator and deliver/install it at our house, all at his cost and at no cost to us. He hauled away the failed generator, and we understand he plans to continue to attempt to urge Generac to stand behind its product. We have on many occasions in the past recommended Hastings Construction to friends and clients, and obviously will continue to do so in the future. They are a first-class, reliable business."

"Our appointment times was set. 2 hour window. In the middle of that time they called to say the would be late or need to postpone. The communication was nice, but it would have been better to keep the scheduled appointment time. In the end the tech needed to go back to his shop twice for parts. A job which should have been completed about 10am dragged on until 5pm. In the end the work was good and their communication was good, but I think I paid some of his time driving back and forth which should not have been my problem."
