Justin has completed work, both on simple and complicated projects, including new construction, remodels and repairs, both for us and for many of our clients. The unit worked as expected during the early part of the storms/floods we on the Monterey Peninsula experienced in January 2023, but then failed. It simply would not start, or generate electricity as designed. Once it failed, we made immediate contact with the Generac customer service department, which proved both immediately and over the next three months to be entirely unresponsive and untrustworthy. Their goal from the very beginning was to deny responsibility for the failure, which they ultimately did. We made dozens of phone calls to the customer service department and left dozens of voice mail messages, as did Justinâ s project manager (initially) and Justin (once we had utterly failed to get any meaningful response from Generac). During that same time period, we experienced more than a dozen PG&amp;E power outages at our home, and were â left in the darkâ , without a functioning generator, during all those outages. Finally, in mid-March 2023, after more than three months of us living with a brand new but failed generator, Justin made the â high roadâ decision to purchase a new generator and deliver/install it at our house, all at his cost and at no cost to us. He hauled away the failed generator, and we understand he plans to continue to attempt to urge Generac to stand behind its product. We have on many occasions in the past recommended Hastings Construction to friends and clients, and obviously will continue to do so in the future. They are a first-class, reliable business."
