"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I had my siding done and a window installed by Timberland Exteriors and they did a great job. Paul was very friendly and Gary, the guy that did the siding, was diligent in taking his time to do it right and do it well. That doesn't mean it took a long time, It just didn't go up in a day, because they have 20 guys on the job, most likely working for little, and not caring a whole lot. I've seen this. They also asked questions and gave me options and ideas and gave me addresses close to my home where I could see the options they were talking about, in person (such as having the siding on the gable be a little different then what I had previou"

ABC Seamless steel siding is taking the home remodeling industry to a new level. Our siding is different from the others, because it is seamless. Other sidings must be constantly overlapped every 12 feet to reach the length of your home, creating a pattern of ugly splices. The average home has 130 splices. ABC Seamless steel siding eliminates the ugly splices, that is why we are known as, The Siding Without the quacks!\n

"Our home came with a warranty from AHS. Our experience with AHS was mixed. We used them several times, including for heater service, gas stove repair/replacement, and what we thought was a sump leak that their contractor correctly diagnosed as a weird inflow from thawing snow/ice. On the plus side, they were always prompt and their contractors arrived when promised. Also, for the stove they were reasonable. They tried to repair two burners on our old stove twice, and when they couldn't offered a cash out that would have come close to the cost of a new equivalent stove. (We paid more, but upgraded.)
On the minus side...
Last winter we noticed water on the bottom of our water heater. We called AHS and they sent out a contractor who promptly claimed that a tank water heater could not meet code in our basement, and ended up claiming we needed to take the cash out from AHS and pay him about $5000 for a tankless water heater and installation. At those prices I decided to call my own plumber for a second opinion. He said was no reason a tank water heater wouldn't work, though any new water heater (tankless or tank) would require a new venting scheme because water heaters are more efficient now. After that I told him what the other guy had said, and he had some choice words.  So I complained to AHS and they duly sent out a second opinion plumber. The second opinion plumber, unaware of either of the two diagnoses, told me the same thing my independent plumber told me.
OK, bad apple contractor. I filed a complaint with AHS on the first plumber and thought they'd authorize replacement by their second opinion plumber. But it turns out they wouldn't let us. Apparently we had to use the original scammer or cash out. OK, fair enough. But their "cash out" for unit, labor, and code upgrades amounted to less than half of the real cost of the replacement. The labor alone cost more. The tank alone (same price as Home Depot, and equivalent to our old one in size/features) cost more.
After that episode, we decided not to renew.
