"After reaching out to another company that was recommended by a friend and getting a wishy- washy response, we reached out to Arctic via their web form on a Sunday afternoon. Bob called almost immediately, spoke with us about our concerns, and set up an appointment to show us options for the very next morning. Bob went over several options with us and scheduled our three day installation for Thursday. We ended up having additional questions and Bob spoke to us on the phone and even came by the house again to alleviate our concerns. On the first day of installation Mike, the installer, arrived on time, was extremely friendly, and even took the time to make sure we were happy with the first window before moving on to the rest of the house. Mike’s technical skill is exceptional! The three day job only took two days and Mike made sure to answer all of our questions before he left. He left our house just as he found it, with the exception of a beautiful new tint. We could not be happier with the results so far. If you didn’t know our windows were tinted, you would have no idea. "This was a Holmes on Homes like experience! Trevor was able to come out for an estimate within 2-3 days. He looked over everything and explained to me what a contractor I hired before did wrong. I did not go through Angie's list for my first contractor. Trevor was polite about his assessment of the previous contractor's work, but trust me, he really didn't have to be. The other guy charged me $420 to caulk and screw some roofing tin around the edges and was there for maybe 45 mins. Trevor explained he would take good care of me, and his price was MORE than fair for the work he and his co-worker did. He scheduled a start work date about a week from the estimate date. He and his crew were at my house on time. They laid down a contractor's mat just incase some debris fell into my home, and they moved some of my furniture out of the way before starting. They removed the existing skylight and all of the damaged shingles surrounding the skylight. The job was done neatly and orderly. They cut the wood needed to resize my frame, installed the new shingles, and finally installed the new skylight. While the man was working on my roof, he was singing :) I thought it was a good sign. He obviously likes what he does, and he did it to the best of his ability. I sing when I'm happy! When they finished, it was perfect. There was no sign that anything had ever been damaged. All of the debris was gone, the trash had been picked up, my furniture was moved back to its original position, and I couldn't be more satisfied. These men were pleasant, hardworking, and fair. It has rained and snowed quite a few times since the new skylight and the skylight has not leaked at all. I'd recommend this company to anyone or company that wants skylights! Incredible experience.

Let's start with the estimate.  I invited 3 companies to bid on replacing my roof.  Having absolutely no experience with anything major like this, I'm at the mercy of those I call.

Bidder #1 looks at my house, asks me the size of the house, does NOT go on the roof, and says $8500.00.  He wrote that on a piece of paper and gave me his business card.  I asked for one of his contracts which he gave me.

Bidder #3 looked at my house, asked me the size, did NOT go on the roof, and said I should replace the skylights.  He then calculated the number of "squares", which even with waste was off by at least 400 square feet.  (Math was one of my better subjects in school).  He then told me $18,500.00.  He wrote that on the back of a business card.  I did not ask for one of his contracts.  I knew I wasn't going to pay $18,500.00 for a roof.

Garner was bidder # 2.  Mike called and asked if it was OK to come over because he may be arriving a few minutes early.  I think that shows some class.  He got the ladder out and went on the roof.  He took a few photos, made a call or two about my skylight, and was up there measuring and walking around doing what must have been one very thorough review of my roof.

Once finished, he didn't give me an estimate.  He told me he would write it up and email it to me.  He did spend a good amount of time explaining what needed to be done, and how they would do it.  I got the estimate that night or the next morning.  The estimate was written on what is also their contract, and had estimates for doing the roof 2 ways.  I chose the higher of the 2 so I could take advantage of the "lifetime" warranty.

Over the next week or so I called Mike once and emailed him at least once to ask questions.  He got back to me quickly and answered my questions thoroughly.

I sent in my deposit.  Over the next few weeks, we had a ton of rain, and we were in the Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year season.  I called on week 4 and asked when we would be scheduled.  Kenny called me back and gave me a tentative date of January 7.  He verified that in an email a couple of days later.  Of course that could change based on weather, but it all worked out.  The crew was there first thing in the morning on January 7 and completed the job in one day. 

After they completed the job, I ended up with a very nice looking roof, a new skylight that I like a lot more than the old one, a reasonably clean yard all completed by a very professional group of people.  From Mike the estimator to Kenny the supervisor, to the installers, all of them performed above expectations.

Roofing must be an interesting business.  I have a new roof with a lifetime guarantee.  I would use them again if I had the need, but there is a very good chance I will never have to call them again. 

So, I'll do the next best thing.  I will absolutely recommend Garner to anyone looking for the services they offer.

"I don’t normally write reviews, but here is a great experience while we hired JJ Roofing to replace our shingle roof on September 2018, after gone through the quotation and discus to all the details of the project, we signed the contract. John brings his team and start the job on 09/17, the job includes rip-off old shingle roof, replace damaged wood boards, put waterproof sheet under the new single, take care of waterproof by the surrounding area of 5 skylights, plus a small area of flat roof on the porch at the top of front door. They have completed the job in 2 days also remove all the wastes and clean the whole yard, in a very professional manner. 10 days later we found some leaking at the porch, called and texted John for the issue, he response immediately and sent his guys to fix it in a couple of days. Since then we have gone through all the heavy rains and some snow without any issue on the entire roof, but on January 31 we got some leaks by the edge of skylights due to the suddenly freezing weather, I texted to John again with pictures for his reference, again he has quickly response to me in a professionally. The proven facts after 6 months of the job completion, yes, I am highly recommending John and the professional teams at JJ Roofing."
