"Worley Wiring was an amazing company to work with. From the first time I met the owner Kevin for the estimate on a whole house rewire of the 1955-era house wiring all the way through to the final punch list items, both he and his crew were awesome to work with. Their work was top notch and they took the time to do things right. They also worked with me on some custom requests to use my existing smart dimmers and switches, along with the inevitable "oh, right, can you do xyz since you're here?" for a very reasonable upcharge. They completed the work on time and budget, and payment was super easy as well with electronic billing and payment available. They also took the time to clean everything up as they went and at the completion of the work - the house was cleaner when they left then when they started, which is amazing for any major job like this! I will be 100% be hiring Worley Wiring for any electrical job I have in the future!"

"Breaker Brothers Electric may be a fairly new company, but I urge you to take a chance with them. I did and couldn't be happier with their work. Matt and John are both great to work with and their bid was very fair and beat the competition. They replaced our old breaker box and installed a car charger for us. The work was great, the communication was clear and timely, and the guys were trustworthy and friendly. The project was done well and on time. Next time I have any electrical needs, I'll call them directly. I was very impressed with Breaker Brothers Electric!"

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Premier Electric on a panel swap in my home. From start to finish, this company was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to providing exceptional service. The team arrived promptly and got straight to work answering any questions that I had. They were incredibly thorough and detail-oriented. Throughout the project, the team kept me informed and updated on their progress. They were respectful of my home and property, and took care to clean up after themselves. I cannot recommend this electrical company highly enough!"

"The electricians were on time, knowledgeable and effective. The work was for troubleshooting a systemic electrical issue and after some basic upgrades they discovered the underlying issue. Billing was hones and reasonable. I would definitely hire them again."

"Called Elemental Electric for complete electrical panel replacement and Jesse showed the next morning. He gave me a thorough estimate that was half the cost of another company estimate. I wanted a 30 amp generator hookup installed and he gave me a great deal and added it to the job. I also needed an outdoor electrical outlet added due to a tankless water heater I was having installed and Elemental Electric installed it while they were replacing the panel. The job was done quickly, professionally and at a reasonable price. The electricians who performed the work were professional and cordial and worked quickly. I have more electrical work to get done in the near future and I won't hesitate to use Elemental Electric for that work!"

FAQs for electrical service projects in Puyallup, WA

In some states and municipalities, licensed and registered handypersons can change a light fixture and do minor electrical work. However, you should check with your state and local licensing boards before hiring a local handyperson. In most cases, it’s safer and more practical to hire an electrician for this job. It may cost more, but hiring a licensed electrician means they’ll get the work done to code.

Special light fixtures, known as damp-rated light fixtures, are recommended in bathrooms, particularly if they're near damp areas like showers and over the bathtub. However, in most locations, they’re not a strict requirement. For safety and longevity, damp-rated fixtures are a better choice. If you work with a lighting contractor in your area, they may be able to recommend the right kinds of fixtures for your space.

Yes, it’s possible to run a second light fixture to a switch, meaning the light switch would control more than one light fixture. Several factors can impact whether it’s possible and how much it will cost. In many cases, it may be easier and more affordable for the contractor to install independent light switches. Talk to your electrician about your idea to get their feedback.
