Mr. Charles was extremely prompt and courteous in his communications and it did not take long to get an appointment. When he arrived, his manner and work were very professional. He diagnosed that we needed to replace the control board. We discussed the cost and new vs. refurbished parts. He left me with a quote and knowing that the price was a factor, he even did further research on finding the best price on the parts. In the end, we have decided to abandon the washer repair and get a new one, but I would definitely call Mr. Charles again for other problems."

"I had my appointment with Mr. Harmond W. on May 07, 2022. It was rather easy to set up appointments and the site makes it rather easy to reschedule (which I've had to do). Mr. Harmond W. was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I've read great reviews about his appointments on here. We pinpointed the problem by process of elimination. For my particular model (Whirlpool) he's seen the common water leak issue I was experiencing. Oftentimes, filter housings need to be replaced. Mr. Harmond W. just confirmed my observation and I am glad I may now rectify the issue. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Harmond W. sent me the exact part needed via email . One may shop around at different retailers to purchase the part. Neli also sells appliance OEM parts as well by partnering with other companies. I will be going with another retailer/seller since the price was much lower with a good return policy and a protection plan option as well. For $35, one can't beat that. A diagnostic evaluation alone may range from $150 and up. I was able to pinpoint the problem and order the part. I won't be arranging for an appointment to self-install. One has to know where to draw the line. I will hire someone once I have the part in hand. I already have someone in mind, also referred by Angi. Luckily, I didn't have to do any thing too cumbersome. I gained some handy tools at well. I really liked using the nutdriver vs a screwdriver. So I've added all the necessary tools I need for the appointment to my collection, and they will be handy in the future. Overall this was an optimal experience and I would certainly refer and use Neli in the future. If you are confident in unscrewing/re-screwing, and removing parts of your appliance, I'd say give it a try. NOTE: Also understand that this an all virtual service. "Within an hour of purchasing the advertised special, Henry from B A R called us to set up an appointment for service. He seemed knowledgeable and showed up promptly to our appointed time. After working on the unit for about an hour he determined that the unit had died and there was no hope reviving it - it was 14 years old after all. WIthin a few days Henry was back and installed our new unit. Around the time he installed our unit, our second unit died. We had him replace it as well. The work was done in a timely manner and we have been completely satisfied. We would definitely hire B A R Appliances again for our HVAC needs."

"I have good things to say about them, but I pay monthly. I am not necessarily sure I am getting my money's worth. Its a maintenance thing. One problem I have with them is because I couldn't get gas heat. The last time I had to call, they kept telling me gas was an appliance. Furnace is an appliance. It really doesn't make sense to me. I couldn't get them here, and I had to wait to go to BGE Home, and they didn't come for three days. The unfortunate part was it was the last chilly damp weekend. I don't use them but once a year. I don't have to pay the yearly thing, and I didn't have to pay extra. It was part of my monthly thing. The quality is great. They did give me a new thermostat. It was hard to understand why my furnace had to wait, even though I couldn't get any power. Since it was gas, it was an appliance. Made no sense. If they could have come when I had an problem. I had to wait three days with no heat."

"Earl was great. He came one day to powerwash and another day to replace the boards and stain the deck. I called him 6 months later because the replaced boards had a different hue and needed another coat of stain (as he mentioned they would). He came in April and restained not only the 3 boards, but the entire deck, for free.
