"The quality of work that Miguel and Danny did was outstanding. I had bamboo flooring put in to replace carpet and Pergo. The difference in my home is incredible. Not only did they complete sooner than expected, they made sure to put furniture back where it was, clean up each day and as they left. Rob was great to work with. He made recommendations on how the flooring should be done as well of color of trim which turned out beautifully! I am extremely happy with the experience I had with Rob and his team! ! I would definitely recommend them!"

"Overall the experience was NOT excellent. I would give them a "good" rating,  but not sure if I would use them again.  We used the location in Durham, NC <br /> The crew that installed the carpet also moved our furniture and dinged up a few pieces pretty good.  Our bed in the master bedroom had chips in the wood (they had taken it apart and stored it in our master bathroom during the installation).   They did not point this out or apologize, I just found the issues after they left and know for certain it was their damage as we recently moved into the house and I had already inspected the furniture from the movers so I knew where any pre-existing scratches, etc...were - these were new. <br /> Crew also was loud and played music, etc...even though I was working from home.  Overall they just did not appear very professional nor were they able to communicate well.   Ideally we would have liked to have our salesperson or a project manager to at least show up at the end of the day to review the work and ensure it was done properly.  <br /> The amount of carpet needed was either underestimated or the vendor shipped too little or there was a mix-up on the order, but either way we were short on carpet in the media room and had extra carpet in the bedroom (we had 2 different styles in each room).   I was told they would "rush" an order of the media room carpet to finish the job as soon as possible.  A week later I still had no carpet on the media room staircase and had to call and ask what the issue was.   Again was given reason that vendor was slow to ship (not sure what happened to the "rush" shipment I was promised initially). <br /> They did finally get someone out on a Saturday to finish the job and they did give us a small discount for our troubles after we asked for it.   Overall the carpet looks ok but we do notice a lot of lumps/bumps in certain areas where it seems like we can feel the carpet staples underfoot when we walk barefoot on the carpet.   So far we haven't had any issues with the carpet coming up, etc...and we hope it stays that way - but overall I am not certain the quality of the installation was the best out there.    We do love the carpet itself which is more praise to the manufacturer than the installation vendor.  We ordered a soft carpet from Dreamweaver in both rooms and really like the look/feel of the carpet. <br /> Based on our experience I am not sure we would use again.  I think they could improve their process by having a project manager check in on the job and having better communication with the customer. <br />"

"Diane and her staff are great in store. Diane came out for estimate and the estimate was well within our budget. We had vinyl sheet flooring installed in kitchen and 2 bathrooms and carpet installed in master bedroom. Price included demo of existing tile in bathrooms, removal of old carpet etc..... "When they arrived on November 2, 2012 to install the flooring, the install had to be postpone. The flooring I purchased and received from the store was defective. I did not find this out until the men from AFS Flooring opened the boxes and started to install it in my master bedroom. I contacted the store where it was purchased and was told to bring it all back. I thought I would have to haul the twelve boxes back to the store, but that was not the case. Mr. Brown had his men load the flooring into their truck, carry it back to the store where I purchased it, and make the exchange for me. He rescheduled the installation to give the new flooring time to acclimate to my home's environment. On November 12, 2012 the installation was performed. It took approximately four hours to complete. My floor is beautiful. I am very satisfied with the outcome. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I know Southern Carpets & Interiors is a higher end store and I didn't need a higher end padding which is why I went to another store, but after I left the other store in tears I went back to them and he sold me the padding and it ended up being cheaper than the other place. <br /> <br /> They have gone above and beyond. I have already bought $1500 worth of tile and they told me upfront that it is large porcelain tile that once I buy it it is not returnable. I am doing the tile myself and as I started to do the layout I realized that the tile I purchased were 2 different sizes and they were not collaborating with each other. The 10x20 is actually not exactly half of the 20x20 tile. It should be, but it is not. When I laid it out the grout lines would not line up evenly. There is nothing wrong with the tiles, but because they are not collaborating we can not do the layout we want to do. I called the place up and they immediately got a hold of the company that manufactures the tile and they are taking back the whole batch of tiles and are ordering a new batch of tiles specifically for our room. The tile is being remade specifically for our collaboration. I mean you can't get better than that.  <br /> <br /> The people are very professional, friendly, and willing to help. The guy who was selling me my tile actually called the company who makes the thinset to make sure I bought the right type of thinset for my tiles. He didn't just go off my knowledge and his knowledge of what we thought was right he confirmed the knowledge with the company who makes the product. I thought that was pretty impressive too.  <br /> <br /> It is located on the road with all the other tile stores. I want to say they have average prices. Their price was at the high end of our budget, but was far less than another store we went into. It is hard to compare prices because we went with a higher end product, but I think when we do an area where we are going to use a cheaper tile I see us going back to this store just because of their customer service. <br /> <br /> The guy we worked with was named Tommy."
