"My slate roof (from 1943) developed major leaks after a summer of intense rain. I had interviewed two or three other roofing companies before I saw Homelife's TV commercial, and on a whim I called the toll free number. I spoke to a nice lady who was able to schedule an in-home estimate for the very next day. That was impressive enough (all the other roofing companies had me wait a week or two just for an estimator), but when Holden Clark showed up on time the next day and explained the entire roof replacement process to me, methodically and thoroughly, I was even more impressed. What really sealed the deal was when Holden moved heaven and earth to keep the project on a fast track toward completion. Miguel's crew of five hard-working guys showed up on the appointed date and got to work right away. "A+ for ethics and professionalism. The repair on our old and non-standard roof was tricky and ultimately didn't last (roof leaked within 14 months). However, when the owner was contacted (he's busy so it took a while) he came out personally and arranged for an alternative fix to the roof. The owner, Dave Garner, did this at no charge, without being asked. We still don't know if we have a permanent solution but we're really impressed with Dave and the company's business practices. We would be pleased to use them for any future roofing repairs (although we hope we don't have any!)."

"I couldn't be happier with Walter Brown. They gave a thorough inspection of the roof by walking it, clearly showing me the issues, and explaining any potential problems that could arrive. When we met to discuss the estimate, I was very appreciative that in addition to the estimate, they gave me a worst case scenario cost. For me, that kind of honesty made choosing Walter Brown a no-brainer. On the day of the job, a full crew of over 10 people came and worked hard getting the roof complete. They worked as a team and finished the roof in a day. Also, they answered all questions and did a thorough job cleaning up. A few hours after completing the roof, the ridge vent didn't look even to me, so when the site manager returned to pick up the dumpster, I asked him about it. He didn't like the look of either, called a few guys back, and replaced it at that time. Again, I was impressed that he was willing to re-do the ridge vent and that he re-did it at that time. We've had a few storms since the roof was installed, and no leaks now! This was as perfect as a home improvement project could have been.
