"David and another painter,  Eric, arrived on time every day and meticulously prepared and painted our new wainscoting as well as the walls, crown molding, window/door trim and ceiling of a very large room in our home. David was responsive to my original inquiry and was easy to work with in terms of scheduling, explaining the necessary materials we needed to purchase (paint only) and just his overall professionalism. At no time, did we worry about anything - we could see the progress and were excited every step of the way. We are thrilled with the outcome and couldn't have asked for a better experience. David and Eric cleaned up after themselves and took care to protect our existing furniture/chandelier/lighting in the room. My husband, who is a perfectionist when it comes to this type of work, was also extremely happy with the work. Our wainscoting looks like smooth, bright and beautiful furniture and the ceiling, where there was once water damage, looks brand new. David provided information about the job as necessary (additional paint, hours) and never left us guessing. He performed the work in the time we discussed and it is simply lovely. "Jess came in to help me finish a number of projects around my house. She finished our bathtub/shower install and sealed the wall, she put in an access door for the tub and repaired a hole in our ceiling, she installed a glass block window in our basement, repaired concrete that had broken off our outside stairs, and she finished an unfinished wall in our bathroom. She helped with a few other smaller projects and did a great job with everything. She was courteous and prompt and affordable. I couldn't have asked for a better handy woman!"

"I pay a monthly fee to CHW for insurance against equipment failure. Over a month ago CHW sent a repair technician to fix both of my garage doors, the technician made an adjustment on one door and chanced the opener on the other. A week or so ago the second door failed to open. Yes, my door opener is old, but the Warrantee says, if it can’t be fixed it will be replaced. CHW paid the tech $100 and said the rest $200 is on me. Please tell me why I should stay with CHW if I have to pay 2/3rds of the cost to replace the door opener? On a separate issue: Granted I accepted CHW’s offer of a Lowe’s card to replace my dishwasher, because I was unaware of how much dishwashers sell for, it cost me an additional 300. Again, please give me a reason for staying with CHW"

"This was the third major construction project that Glenn Grover and the team at North American Building completed for me over the last 10 years.  Glenn came right over to help me understand the process of working with the insurenace company and helped me limit the damage when the flooding began from the Ice Dam.  The water damaged impacted half of the first floor of my house and required replacing the entire ceiling in the living room and kitchen.  It also required replacing the plastered walls along the back of the house and replacing the insulation and mouldings.  There are two things that I have to note, first is that Glenn answers the phone and always follows up. He is always on time and never missed an appontment.  It may sound like simple things but nobody I have worked with is as responsive and professional as Glenn and his team.  Since they were repairing a home that they had renovate 5 years earlier it was all fixed and you could not tell that there had ever been damage. All work was done on time and on budget with no surprises.  
Prior Projects include:

• 1. There was also a 2nd floor addion to my home completed by North American Building.  This included removing the roof from 50% of the house and building a Master Bedroom Suite.  They completed the exterior to totally match the design and trim so that it looks like the original home and not a house that has been added to.  One very important note is that Glenn is a great designer and worked with us to create the plans and engineered some very creative soluitions to ensure open space using high tech materials to handle load on the second floor.  He also created the plans for the building inspector elimimnating the need and cost for and architect.  All work was completed on time and within budget.

2. They completed an a additon to a stand alone garage.  This included adding a 2 story third bay to the garage.  Glenn also used high tech materials to put the garage door on the side of the building and ensured our ability to use the second floor as a home office. All work was done on time and within budget.
I highly recommend North American Building and Glenn Grover for any construction or renovation project, large or small. In the 30 years that I have been a homeowner no other contractor has ever come close to the quality, cost or professionalism.

"I could not be more pleased with this company or this service. I found them here on AL and with a rebate, it was a great deal. When I called, the woman who answered was extremely polite and helpful and took the time to go over the entire audit process with me (she wasn't rushed as some receptionists are). They sent an email to confirm the date and time.
When the team arrived, they were on time and each of them introduced themselves by name to me before coming into my house. They were all very polite and courteous. The leader (I can't remember his name) gave me an overview of the process and explained things as they went. Basically, they simulate high winds around the house and then monitor for where leaks are. My house is relatively new and has no basement, so it was already pretty efficient, but there were some major leaks by the front door and attic door, which they sealed on the spot. They also showed me that I could hold my hand over any electrical socket, even ones on interior walls, and feel the "wind"--which means air was leaking out those! So I plugged them all with those little socket protectors. The guys also took me into the attic and showed me some leaks, and fixed them--and fixed the attic door by adding a little latch to help it stay closed. All in all, they reduced the amount of air getting into my house by 500 (I forget the units). It was clear they didn't just make up this number--they showed me the number after the first test and then after the second test (when they had treated the problem areas).
I also got a few free CFLs and LEDs, and bought 3 more LEDs since they were at a great price. They left some rebates with me, although all my appliances are new so I didn't need anything. 
When they left, they each said goodbye and were very professional until the end. They were respectful in my home and asked before opening any closets or doors, etc. I felt very safe with them here, which is not always the case when people are in your home working. I think the price is a fantastic one, especially with the AL rebate that was on when I scheduled. I feel I got my money's worth. My husband and I had tried to plug some leaks ourselves, but we didn't really know what we were doing and we had no way to measure if we were really helping anything. This audit gave me hard numbers to look at and I was impressed that they did the fixes on-site (included in the price--for instance, they plugged a whole around my front door frame by installing a clear plastic barrier). It was a great deal and a great experience. Highly recommend!
Bonus--when we resell this house in a few years, I will definitely list that we got a professional energy audit performed on it and that it's very efficient. Definitely a selling point!
