"The installer was great. He removed the old shower/tub combo. Had the water off and back on within a few hours. He cleaned up the mess quite nicely. The installer and install were great. Thanks"

"Overall experience, from visiting their site to select the granite, scheduling the template and countertop installation, and the installation itself was positive. Installers were very conscientious in their work"

"He came and replaced a part that did not fix it. Took part with him. He came back and charged me another almost $300 for a new sump pump which I should have gotten the first time he came. I feel I paid twice. Too much money."

"We had a full renovation of 2.5 bathrooms including use of the acrylic system in the guest bath and the in the primary bath we went with use of the onyx system for the base of the shower and the vanity top. We love the quality of these materials. We had some challenges with the suppliers of our vanities and Tony helped us resolve these issues and overall streamlined the process. Tony and Travon are a pleasure to work with. The quality of their work was superb. We are very happy with the outcome. We highly recommend Tony and Travon for bathroom remodeling."

"Our bathrooms look amazing!!! They completely renovated our Master bathroom. We also had the flooring and vanity replaced in our kids bathroom. Sean did a great job with helping us see what we needed to update both bathrooms. Percy, our project manager calmed my fears about a tile mix up and very professionally handled the delay. Our installers Carlos and Rafael were EXCEPTIONAL!!! Quick, quiet, and professional. Carlos went above and beyond to insure that everything looked perfect. He was extremely detailed! My husband and I could simply not be happier with the work they did. It took three weeks. But it looks phenomenal."

FAQs for bathtub installation and replacement projects in Adirondack, NY

Most tubs last an average of 20 years, or closer to 10 to 15 if they’re acrylic or fiberglass. If you’re seeing persistent leaks, cracks, stubborn stains, or mold that won’t scrub away, it’s time to start shopping for a replacement. Out-of-date features and visible water damage are other red flags. Swapping the tub now protects your bathroom from bigger (and pricier) repairs down the road.

You should install your tub in a location that complements your bathroom's layout, plumbing connections, and personal preferences. Consider placing it near existing plumbing to minimize installation costs. Many homeowners position their tubs to take advantage of natural light or scenic outdoor views, enhancing relaxation.

Ensure there's sufficient space around the tub for easy access and safety, especially if accessibility is a concern. Ultimately, the ideal spot is where the tub fits seamlessly with your bathroom design and provides the most comfort and convenience for your needs.

Replacing a bathtub takes just one or two days if you hire a pro to handle the job. They'll remove the old tub and install the new one efficiently. If you're considering doing it yourself, be prepared for it to take much longer, possibly up to a month. That's because you'll need to remove the old tub and drywall, install the new tub, repair the walls, and maybe tackle new tiling. Weigh the time commitment against potential cost savings to decide what's best for you.

Converting your tub to a shower transforms your bathroom with a modern and accessible design. The average cost to convert a tub to a shower ranges from $2,000 to $10,500, based on the required plumbing, tiling, and structural modifications. This upgrade maximizes space while boosting functionality and aesthetics in your bathroom.
