"We were really impressed with the care that Boe took to make sure that our custom fitted deck was exactly right for our needs. He & his team did such an amazing job. We just love our new deck! It was a challenge to figure out how to get the most out of a small space but Boe was able to figure it out. The crew was so nice to work with. We would highly recommend them for any job large or small. Skilled perfection & hands down the best in their profession! We just love our deck with the floating walkway! I was so happy with their work, customer service and communication from their team, that when a hailstorm came through, they were 1st people I called. They did a thorough inspection and provided enough information to call in a claim. They met with the insurance company and now we have a beautiful roof that really enhances the curb appeal. During the install they were very mindful of all of the gardens I had around my home. There was a mother mallard on a nest beside the house and they were so careful not to scare her. All the ducklings have since hatched and we've spotted them in the pond at the back of our property. Proficient Construction did a great job cleaning up and was very thorough throughout the install. He arrived with a complete package/brochure which included a letter of introduction and an unsolicited list of references of work completed within our local area. Randy was very patient with us in trying to decide whether to use cedar or pressurized wood to support the deck as well as our seasonal porch. On the first day of work, a three man crew arrived with Brandon as the lead team member. The crew was very professional, knowledgeable, and quiet as they worked for the next five days. They were extremely tidy in cleaning up during and after the work product was installed. We would definitely use their services again and recommend them to others. A job very WELL DONE!"

"This was a tricky project which required replacing deck footings without removing the deck or the gazebo on the deck. They were able to start right away and completed the project in 3 days. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!"

"Trim and door frames were replaced, and the installation of the wood itself was well done, however, with complete lack of foresight. We specifically stated we did not want cuts done in the house, and the workers filled our house with dust while sawing indoors without even hooking up a shop vac to the saw. Little effort was made to clean. We specifically stated that we would go with thicker trim to go over the older existing trim, so they just went in and replaced trim that was smaller than the existing trim, leaving damaged walls and holes in the floor. Then we got the bill and the materials cost was higher than the estimate - never occurred to them to let us know at the beginning of the project when they bought the supplies. We had the work done while we were out of town, I recommend using a different contractor, or at least staying at home and babysitting the work they do."

"As many of you know--finding a reputable home improvement company can be quite a challenge. We had some major projects to do in our yard and initially reached out to multiple companies requesting bids on building a 40 x 10 foot pergola, repairing a cedar fence and staining another major structure in our yard. Our experience in contacting home improvement companies was so disappointing. Inaccurate bids, no shows, and people showing up that presented themselves as home improvement companies but didn’t know what the heck they were doing. The only company that took the time to provide frequent consultation, accurate estimates, multiple visits to our property and consistent follow-up was Twin City Handyman! The entire staff was attentive to our needs and the projects were well done and completed on time. A big shout out to Darren, Kathy, Cory and Johnny and other staff members who assisted in completing our projects for their expertise and attention to detail. "We hired Olson Construction this summer for a major project, a replacement of three large decks and a screened-in porch on our home. It was obvious from the beginning that working with Nick Olson was the right way to go. We started with three quotes on this project. The first two quotes were done by salespeople for their company's construction crew (people whom we'd never see again), whereas Nick did the quote for his own company. The other bids were also crazy high, clearly a "big house, big bid" bloated price. Nick's bid was fair and just what we expected, and he updated us on cost changes along the way, which were minimal given the size of the job. Even during the busy summer season, as the owner, Nick was on site most days, and working alongside his crew, which was greatly appreciated, and showed a lot of pride and commitment to the job. Timeliness and communication were stellar; Nick and his crew were on time or updating us on changes in timeline along the way. Throughout the job, he checked in with us when anything arose that required a change in plan, instead of just forging ahead. He responded to any texts/calls/questions or concerns quickly and thoroughly. Communication is something that can make or break a relationship with a contractor, and Nick understands this better than any contractor I've worked with. Beyond our own questions, he even checked in on his own to ensure that we were happy with the project along the way. Nick's crew was courteous and respectful, and cleaned up the site at the end of the day. There was a minor paint spill, and Nick and the crew ensured that this was cleaned up well. Nick also ensured that details like replacement of the gutters after the job was done properly, and actually improved upon their flow and function. It was clear that Nick and the entire crew wanted us to be happy with the project, and took pride in their work. The outcome of the job was fantastic - we love our new decks, and look forward to enjoying them for years to come. We had an Azek deck with composite/aluminum railing installed, but whether it would be composite or wood deck, or any other job, Olson construction would be a great hire. As projects come up in the future, Olson construction will be our first call."
