Small jobs welcome

"Chelsea completed the job ahead of schedule and did an excellent job installing 4 zones of an in ground sprinkler system. So much easier to maintain a green lawn now compared to stretching hoses across over an acre of lawn after each mowing. We also had him install a raised flower garden using pavers, and he even ran a sprinkler into that garden. So beautiful now."

"Excellent, as always. Told him the problem (water from one head spraying on brick siding and staining it, so wanted head moved or whatever necessary to still water areas but not spray on brick), and showed him non-working head and other areas not being covered correctly. He quickly came up with solution of cutting back on spray area so as not to hit bricks plus add a small head to water area that would then need watering. He quickly corrected sprinkling problems with other heads, replaced the non-working head, and added the new small sprinkler head so all the areas we wanted watered would be without watering the brick. He worked quickly and efficiently.  <br /> Several years ago we used to have another company do our sprinkler repairs, but they were extremely slow and didn't know a lot about the sprinklers, having to redo what they did sometimes. Plus they "rested" frequently. Their bills were always large due to the excessive time it took them. We have several brands of sprinkler heads and controller, and they weren't acquainted with some of them so had to spend time figuring them out.  <br /> Winchel Irrigation has no problem fixing all the brands of sprinklers we have nor the old controller. I am extremely pleased with their knowledge and speed of completing the tasks, then showing me what they have done (sprinklers running) to verify it's what I wanted. <br /> They are busy, so I sometimes have had to call twice to get a person to talk with. But once I talk to someone, they get me on their schedule within a couple weeks or less, if possible, perhaps because I'm an established customer. <br /> I can't recommend them more highly. <br />"

"I just moved to Michigan last year, and searched for a company to install a new irrigation system. Titan called me back same day, and I was quoted within 3 days. Ralph stayed in contact with me through the whole process. These guys do a great job, are very helpful, and do what they say and when. If not, they will let you know. Just a great overall experience!"

"I have a service agreement with them. They come out depending on what they are doing. They come out in June and August. They also come out in the Fall. They might come out every other month. I don't have any grubs. I don't have them aerate the grass. The cost is comparable. It's a little bit more, but I am more satisfied than other companies I have used. It's a little bit more expensive. The quality of the work is good. Most of the time I am not here. They will leave me a note on the door to let me know. They also call to let me know. They tell me they are coming on a Monday, and will then leave a bag telling me what they did when they were here. I will keep using them as long as they don't rectify if I have any problems. So far the grass is green. I have other issues with the side, but that's another story."

"My service tech, Jordan Foy, called promptly in the morning and arrived right on schedule. He was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job installing my sump pump and the underground line. He made sure I approved of what he was going to do each step of the way. He was also very nice to my golden retriever puppy who wanted to be his assistant. I will be using Ayers Basement Systems again for additional work on my basement next spring."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Alanson, MI

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
