"Subcontractors were mostly good, but management of them was lacking. I had to personally supervise them because the on site contractor rarely stayed very long. Told the trim finish crew to leave because they did not know how to install crown molding. Got another crew that knew what they were doing. They never asked for periodic payments during the job (as is typical); presented one huge bill at the end. Holland homes builds nice homes, but I would not recommend them for small jobs like mine because you do not get the best crews and you have to wait for them to fit you into their schedule."

Before we start the construction process we will inspect the perimeter of your home. This is to protect or set aside any of your belonging that may get damaged during the work process. This includes lawn furniture, flower gardens & the like.\nWe remove all the old materials before rebuilding your roof. This is so we can inspect & repair decking, flashing & venting. We use 15 lbs felt on most roofs & 30lbs felt on steep roofs. We always use an ice/water membrane in the valleys & around any pipe opening. We use proper nails for the felt & shingles. We never use staples. After the work is complete, we use a silicon type product to seal all critical areas.\nWe always clean the gutters to remove any construction debris. Your grounds should look the same or better after our work is complete.\nWe will be documenting all work in progress for you to review because we realize most homeowners prefer not to climb on their roofs.\nWe will be glad to discuss all of our building techniques for applying the roof.\nWith over 2,000 projects completed in this area, we invite you to review our portfolio of some of our finished products.\nI have been in the construction business for 20 years. I started out of necessity because I started purchasing rental units at an early age. I quickly learned that I needed all the skills to maintain property so I worked as a journeyman until I developed the skills & confidence I needed to handle almost all trades.\nWe specialize in settling your insurance claim & our goal is to replace your roof in a manner that will set your home apart from the average roof. We specialize in residential roofing in Birmingham & have been in business for over 6 years. We only use the best materials & are dedicated to completing each project in a timely manner. All of our staff are experienced and certified as roofing contractors in Birmingham & have been with us for at least 6 years. We hold ongoing training & safety seminars to ensure up-to-date styles & techniques.

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Albertville, AL

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
