Roger stepped in figures out the circulation issues in our basement and came up with a 2 fan solution. It was slightly more expensive that we anticipated, and had been quoted by others (but, again, once they looked at our situation they walked), but it actually worked. Radon levels are now down to 1-1.5 PCI/L or below from consistent readings over 6 sometimes as high as 10. We d recommend their service to anyone with Radon issues. "I could not be more pleased with Brad, of Ark Home Inspections' service. I was able to make an appointment on just a few days notice. Brad arrived on time and well prepared. He was knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I am a single, first-time home buyer. Brad explained things in a way that made the concepts easy to understand. He also explained the reasoning behind what he was looking at and why. The inspection was very comprehensive, he did scans for moisture on the walls, infrared scans for evidence of heat loss, and walked me through room by room explaining everything he was doing. He got out the ladder for inspecting the roof and chimney and took photos of any concerns he found. He also showed me how to operate the main water & gas shut-offs, and where the sewer clean-out was located and what it's for, things I wouldn't have know how to do otherwise. He gave me estimates on the life remaining on the major systems in the house; furnace, hot water heater, roof etc., which is very helpful for future planning. My inspection was on a Friday afternoon, which took around 3 hours and still Brad emailed the full final report with photos the next morning. Brad left me feeling confident to make an informed decision on whether or not to purchase this house."
