"The repair and cleaning was completed in a timely fashion. Since, we ordered the covers ourselves, he return on another day to do the installation. Company was very accommodating and communication via email or phone was reliable. We are very pleased with the work and will be using him again. Addition: Jim returned to install the two gutter covers as promised on Saturday, 10/17/20. We were waiting for the wasps to leave their nest before installing the last two covers. Job paid in full previously, so no charge for this."

"The installer did such a great job on my floors! The carpet and the tile look wonderful, and the transitions between them are perfect. The owner was easy to work with and get a hold of, and made everything easy and convenient for me. It is a local business, so it was much more personable and the price was great- beat all of the other quotes I got. Would definitely recommend and will contact them again when I need the bedrooms replaced :)"

"I spent around $2000 on those countertops. The customer service was excellent. The girl who worked there was excellent in helping me get the countertop and selecting the colors. She was very patient with me. The countertops look beautiful and the installation was good and I have had no problem. I highly recommend them to other members."

"I wanted to replace carpeting which was old and worn in my mothers home and went to a home improvement store to order carpet. They said that they did not remove the old carpet, and that I would be responsible to remove the old carpeting. When I took the old carpeting out, I discovered nice, but very old wood floors under them. I called Heads Up and Lenny came out with in a day or two to estimate the job. I already had two estimates, but one guy seemed like he did this work "on the side" and the other guy couldn't give me a date that he could do the work for at least another week or two. Lenny came in $150 less than this guy and could do the work in about a week. They came out as scheduled and sanded the floors, then put down a coat of polyurethane on the first day and then came back each of the next two mornings to apply another coat of polyurethane. They also moved the radiators and re-installed them. I only wish they put thicker coats of Poly on the floors because they are very old and have lots of cracks and gaps in the wood and this may have helped fill them in more...but the floors look great anyway."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Albrightsville, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
