"Could not ask for better service. He fit me in on short notice. Honored the price he told me even though it was a little more work. Did a fantastic job with my carpet. But most importantly he was honest, thoughtful and did everything he could to help me. I would highly recommend this company. They are fantastic people. <br />"

"Called to get carpet replacement.  Minimum charge was $150.  Came out when scheduled, spent a lot of time figuring out the best approach as we did not quite have enough carpet.  Replacement made and looks like new.  Even removed old carpet although not requested! Would highly recommend.  Very professional and knowledgeable. <br />"

"Trott's salesman was helpful as we chose the carpet. The installers were great! We had the bedroom empty of furniture as we had just finished hurricane repairs in that room. That furniture was in the living room. The two installers moved all the furniture out to the lanai or into the kitchen until the installation was finished. There was no damage to the new paint on the floor of the lanai. Before we knew it it was time to move everything back in place. They were very patient while we figured out where it all went. We would definitely use Trott's for another flooring purchase!"

"Ashley Ryan Flooring was so prompt in responding and sending a representative out to quote the job site (on a Saturday, to meet my sporadic availability) that we were able to proceed much faster than we had imagined being able to - within three days of the initial quote request. The price was so affordable that we jumped right on the opportunity. We were pleased to find out that the representative who quoted the job in person was also the installer, which helped ensure consistency and familiarity. The installer also had an assistant that was very prompt and efficient, as well as friendly and professional (as both representatives were). The combination led to installation being even faster than expected, while delivering great quality. Ashley Ryan Flooring was easy to work with, delivered great, prompt, and affordable services, and we are already about to refer friends to them. Thanks to all involved for a great experience!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Allandale, FL

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
