"We recently had a 20x20 deck built, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the initial consultation through to the final walkthrough, everything was handled professionally and with a high level of attention to detail. The size of the deck is perfect for our needs. At 400 square feet, it comfortably fits a dining table, seating area, and still leaves plenty of room to move around. It?s quickly become our favorite part of the house, especially for hosting friends and family. What stood out most was the quality of the construction. The deck feels incredibly sturdy?no creaking, no movement, just solid craftsmanship throughout. The lines are clean, everything is level, and you can tell that care was taken at every step, especially with the foundation and framing. The materials used also seem to be top-notch. The finish looks great and has held up well so far against changing weather. We also appreciated the thoughtful details, like the railing and steps, which really "

"Excellent. Hanging the hammock on the porch of a beach house took some ingenuity to hang properly. It turned out to work perfectly and looks good. The replacing of rotten wood and re-screening look good as new. Stephen (the Tybee Handyman) is a pleasure to work with, totally dependable, professional and does good work. He also is very reasonable in his charges."

"They did the cool decking for us ten years ago so that when we walk around the pool, it is not hot on the feet. When they repaired it, they had to take out a brick, re-mortar and re-cool deck. They do a good job. If you are not happy with it then they will come and fix it. Plus, they are probably the only pool people in town that really care. We have not had issues since the last service was provided. What happened was that the cool decking on one spot and the bricks were coming loose so they came out and looked at it and replaced the brick, the mortar and the cool decking in one area. Everything is good now. I do not know what it should cost to do all that they did but their price seemed worth it to me."

"We have used this provider before so we knew we could trust him to allow him to do the replumbing on our house while we were out of town on vacation.  Our house (which we bought as foreclosed) continued to have problems with stopping up in one of the downstairs baths.  We were leaving for vacation on the day that we had a major backup and called Jason and Eddie Turner.  They came out immediately and unstopped the drain and showed us with pictures how the problem kept  happening because of a really bad plumbing job of the piping.  We told him we would have to wait until we returned to have them replumb.  He told us that they could come out and complete the job without our being here since they would not need to come into the house to do it and we would not have that to deal with when we got back.  They came on Sunday to start the job and finished it on Monday according to our neighbors.  They always clean everything up (which they did on the backup before we left on our vacation inside the house).  They even called us while we were gone to let us know that it was complete and also that they had found a leak in the water line which we told them to fix (we knew there had been a small one but it had gotten worse)  They did not even charge us for fixing that part of the pipe which they took out and replaced. <br />"

"That particular company had been getting a bad rep before we used them. We went ahead and used them and it was not an insurance claim and they did an excellent job. They're competitive and very comparable to everybody else in our area. They're not any more expensive, they're not any less. They do a really good job, what they promise to do, they do."

"It went amazing. Had a pipe explode and flood my downstairs. Hired Justin’s company to do the work. Quality of the work was superb. I will say this, Justin isn’t like other contractors. He will show up clean shaven, with a company shirt on, in a clean vehicle, be courteous, won’t be answering the phone while talking to you, he answers and returns calls, and (my favorite part) he’s on time. He’s punctual to a T. If he said he will be out at your house at 10am, he will be there at 9:55am, that’s just how he operates. He makes you and your job/problem feel as though it is the most important job he has going on at the time. Superb knowledge and skillful problem solver, I would (and have) hires Justin to solve numerous issues across numerous properties. Hire him, and it’s very hands off. You don’t have to be at the job calling and making sure he shows up, or making sure he doesn’t leave the job site messy, or making sure his crew isn’t stealing stuff from your home. None of that, he is top notch and runs a tight ship. You won’t go wrong with this guy."

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Allenhurst, GA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
