We were able to talk openly about costs whenever changes were necessary, and we finished the project on budget. We enjoyed working with him and his crew, and we felt comfortable having his workers as part of our household for the seven months it took to complete the project. Most of his subcontractors were equally conscientious and helpful (there was one exception, and Arthur addressed it quickly when we brought it up). The project would have benefited from better time management and more coordination between the subs, and we had to be persistent about defining the schedule and ensuring that things moved as quickly as possible. But in the end, we are very happy with the results and the cost. Hubert Construction would be our first call for any additional projects, and we have recommended them to our neighbors."

"These guys put the ‘master’ back in ‘craftsman’! Once on the job, they are on-the-job! Professionals, they will arrive early, work all day and clean up their mess before leaving. If there’s a question about how to address an issue, they will ask the customer, but always have solutions to offer. Make sure you have all the items you’re responsible for ordered (appliances, counter top, cabinets, faucet, hardware etc.) and in-house, or with delivery dates because you will have trouble keeping up with them once they start! Quality of work is outstanding and always with an attention to detail. The job stayed on budget, all additional work was done under change orders – except one instance. Make certain to ask whether any changes being discussed come under the scope of the contract or are additional work. This is particularly important with sub-contractors like plumbing and electrical."

"Scott and his team did a terrific job. My deck looks infinitely better than it did and it is more structurally sound now than before. He replaced all the decking on the first floor deck, adding a new addition to the deck and completely renovated a screened-in porch. They removed a floating deck on the upstairs deck and resurfaced the underlying fiberglass deck adding new railings. Scott was present throughout the job with his team (3 people). With this job there were little changes that I wanted made and Scott and the team were extremely accommodating and receptive. They did solid work, were very professional and always left the worksite very clean every day. I highly recommend SCS Construction and would definitely use them again in the future."

"I hired Horatio for a total renovation of a condo unit. He met me a the unit the day i contacted him ,and provided a quotation which never increased or changed. Project consisted of bathroom & kitchen renovation (new shower, vanity, kitchen cabinets, etc.), hardwood floors, popcorn ceiling removal, patching and painting. Horatio and his skilled team were exceptional. Very professional, and overall did a great job.
