I wish I had joined Angie's list years ago simply for the opportunity to spread the word about Alan D Drake Inc. Over the years he and his crew have done various jobs for my two homes. When I moved into my larger home my husband and I came across Alan when we were looking for a painter, basement remodeling work and bathroom re-do. My husband was so impressed he didn't even do the standard 3 quotes. We hired Alan and have never looked back and always recommend him. He took an idea I had for my basement and helped me design and make my dream come true! His staff and #1 man, Carl, were always professional and courteous and always left the site clean. "Howard and his crew did a great job removing decades-old wallpaper from our foyer, stairway, upstairs hallway and master bedroom. They then repaired the drywall, skim-coated everything, and primed and painted the walls. They also primed and painted (with three coats) all the upstairs bedroom doors and closet doors and trim, which had been previously stained and varnished with a very dark finish. And they did it all in two days. They were fast, professional, and neat."

"Initial person was too chatty, too much information, overwhelming. Later more succinct. Workers who did test & insulation (blower door test to reveal air leaks). Workmen were sufficient and polite. Two years later discovered they had caulked Marvin windows which should NOT be caulked in order to wash them w/ moveable parts. It cost me $175 to have them repaired or caulking removed. This was done & I submitted a bill 11/13/14 and have not been reimbursed yet. Have called 2x's to remind, last time man said he thought it was done and he would see about it. That was 3 weeks ago the last time and 7 weeks from the first reminder. It is now 2/24/15."
