"I checked with the BBB to find a local garage door company and found Bradbury near the top of the list. I called for an estimate to replace an existing door with an overhead door. Phil came out and gave me an estimate that I found very acceptable. After I got my HOA approval I contacted Phil and said it was OK to proceed. I gave him a deposit and the installer was out the next day. They did a great job installing my new door and even took the extra time to install a different bottom seal on the door that accommodated my uneven garage floor. I could't have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Bradbury Garage Doors to anyone needing service or installation of a garage door."

"They are incredible thorough.  Their work is very neat and prompt.  They communicate with you so you know exactly what is going on.  If there is a delay you will know.  They are extremely courteous.  They were very honest.  Other companies were trying to tell me I needed to replace the whole deck, which I didn't.  Trust was amazing with this company.  They brought in great painters.  This is a family owned and operated company.  I am extremely happy with how beautiful the deck turned out.  I would use them again in a heat beat."

"Weathermaster's Chris Wilder, his son CJ, and team members Gabiel and Eddie did a great job on this project that had many facets because I had a roof over a roof and in another area a flat roof. They finished the job ahead of schedule, preserved all of my 70 in-ground plants, some close to the house, replaced rotted wood, were professional and expert. The final cost was the same as the bid--no add-on costs, even though they did additional work. There was a thorough daily clean-up. Weathermaster did my relatives' roof 10 years ago and they did a great job then. I highly recommend this family business."

"The previous owner of my condo had put epoxy flooring in my basement, which looked great when I purchased the home. But as the weeks went on, it began to crack and bubble. Within 2yrs, it was coming off in sheets and looked terrible. When I initially contacted Life Deck my intention was to simply repair it with another epoxy coating done correctly. But when I got the estimate, it was explained to me that because of the mineral deposits that commonly come up with moisture in San Diego area basements, that in all likelihood any attempt to replace it would also eventually fail. He suggested that I might be interested in simply sanding away the failing epoxy and staining the concrete underneath, which would allow it to breath without any effect on the stain. I also had work done on my balcony, which had outdoor carpeting on it which retained moisture and was causing damage underneath. That was to be taken out and replaced with a coating. We communicated via email to set a work date, and since I commute elsewhere during the week, I left a key in a drop box. I'm very pleased with the work in every regard. The basement is a vast improvement, and the patio looks great. Communication was easy and constant throughout the job, and the estimate matched the final bill."

"It's almost a rarity to find businesses that provide quality customer service. Not only did Dennis do an excellent job with his cleaning abilities, he was professional and timely with the services he provided. There is no other company that offers quality service in San Diego other than Solar Smart Preservation and cleaning."

"They were on time, knowledgeable and thorough.  I thought they did an excellent job and even caulked the seal between the granite and the backsplash tile to prevent future cracking.  I was very happy with the service. <br />"

FAQs for deck, fence, patio or porch clean and seal projects in Alpine, CA

You should clean your deck before sealing it. Cleaning before refinishing is critical. If you don’t remove dirt and debris, you'll trap moisture in the wood, which prevents the new sealer from working correctly and can lead to costly repairs. Whether you need to sand, power wash, or sandblast depends on your deck's condition.

Sealing and staining your deck are essential maintenance methods that protect and beautify your outdoor space. Stain adds rich color and guards against fading, while sealant fortifies the wood against moisture and weather damage. Wood type, climate, deck age, and the degree of existing damage determine whether your deck benefits from one or both treatments. Using both options extends your deck’s durability and enhances its overall appearance.

Power washing and sealing your deck costs $500 to $1,700. This process combines the removal of stubborn dirt and debris with a protective seal that preserves the wood’s integrity. Effective cleaning eliminates harmful buildup, and a proper seal prevents moisture damage and wood decay, ensuring long-term durability and reducing future repair expenses.

Your deck must be sealed every one to three years to maintain its strength and appearance. Regular sealing is essential to protect the wood against moisture, mold, and harmful UV rays. A consistent sealing schedule prevents rapid deterioration and costly repairs. Inspections should be performed annually to determine if the protective layer remains intact, extending the life of your deck.

Leaving your deck untreated compromises its structural integrity and safety. An unprotected deck rots quickly due to moisture and environmental exposure, which means that neglecting sealing results in rapid decay and expensive replacement costs of $4,125 to $11,650. Sealing your deck is essential for maintaining its durability and protecting your home.

The sealant on your deck dries within a few hours and reaches full cure within 72 hours before regular use. It is essential to wait until the complete curing period to ensure the protective layer fully sets and resists weather and foot traffic. Proper drying guarantees that your deck is fully protected against moisture and environmental damage, ensuring lasting quality.
