"I do not normally leave reviews but I was so impressed with the level of service and professionalism that John from Thoro-clene provided I thought it needed to be recognized. I found Thoroclene because of the high number of positive reviews they had already received and they did not disappoint. We had several puppy pet stains and a soda explosion in our new home. John came in and went through each room with us. (UVlight was eye opening! :) In very short order he explained what the stain removals would require and what treatment was needed then he went to work. He finished the entire home in under 3 hours from start to finish and it looks amazing. I would highly recommend their services to anyone and will definitely use them in the future if needed. Thanks John for a very pleasant experience"

"Gabe showed up right on time (even a little early). He was incredibly friendly and nice and I felt completely at ease with him in our home. He worked hard and explained what he was doing, which I liked. Our carpets look much better and our house doesn't smell like cats anymore!"

Be careful of the small print with these other companies when they say "up to 3 or 5 AREAS up to so many feet" and then charge you their regular price after you have reached the maximum square footage. This is great if you are cleaning a couple areas and usually does not include stairs and hopefully 1 of your areas isn't a hall or closet. But what if you need your entire home cleaned? This is how these companies get more money for less cleaning. My hope is you will love my service so much that you will use my service again in the future and if not you got the very best carpet cleaning in Utah. m a Owner Operator and never use Subcontractors. "The salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing a carpet and laminate style. They were at the house promptly the next morning to measure and provided a bid by the afternoon. Installation was scheduled for the following week with an estimate of three days for completion of the job. The actual installation took 9 days. Installers always showed up late and often did not show up on days they had scheduled. The work quality was marginal at best and required rework where the laminate was not installed close enough to the wall for baseboards to cover, trim was not glued down or was misaligned, and carpet tacks poked through. I had to haul off the old flooring after it sat in the middle of the driveway for a week. There was no contact, inquiry, or response from anyone at the store regarding satisfaction, work quality, or an estimate of when work should be completed."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Alpine, UT

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
